ASUS has announced the ExpertBook A7 (14" AMD), a business laptop pairing a 14-inch 3K OLED display with weight starting at 1.2 kg. Buyers can choose configurations reaching an AMD Ryzen™ AI 7 processor, 16GB of LPDDR5X memory and 512GB of SSD storage. ASUS claims battery life of up to 21 hours.
The laptop comes in Eclipse Black and Lunar Silver, with a chassis milled from one block of 6000-series aluminum alloy. Although ASUS promotes a 1 cm profile, the listed dimensions put thickness between 10.0 and 11.85 mm. A 65Wh battery supplies power, and ASUS says fast charging can replenish up to 50% capacity within 30 minutes.
The OLED screen has a resolution of 2880 by 1800 pixels, a 16:10 aspect ratio and a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz. Display options include both glare and anti-glare versions, each specified at 600 nits when displaying HDR content. Both versions cover 100% of DCI-P3 and carry VESA® DisplayHDR™ True Black 600 certification.
Processor choices are AMD Ryzen™ AI 5 330 and AMD Ryzen™ AI 7 345, while onboard memory configurations are 12GB or 16GB. ASUS identifies the laptop as a Copilot+ PC and specifies up to 50 NPU TOPS for its AI processing capability. Wireless connectivity includes WiFi 6E and Bluetooth® 5.4, with ASUS ExpertCool handling the laptop's thermal management.
Two USB 4.0 Gen 3 Type-C® connections handle charging, external displays and data, alongside an HDMI connection, a USB Type-A connection and an audio jack. The glass Haptic Force Touchpad provides tactile feedback, while the backlit keyboard has 1.0 mm of key travel. An FHD camera, two microphones and ASUS AI Noise-Canceling Technology provide the hardware and software for calls.
ASUS promises five years of security updates for BIOS and drivers, with ASUS ExpertGuardian bringing together the laptop's security protections. Fingerprint access supports FIDO2 authentication, and a discrete TPM 2.0 holds authentication information, including passwords and encryption keys. The laptop also supports the Windows 11 Secured-core PC framework and meets MIL-STD-810H standards, according to ASUS.
