The macOS 27 Golden Gate beta introduces a new wallpaper alongside redesigned stoplight window controls, while the iOS update brings a refreshed notification animation.
The Pinned Messages interface bug from beta 5 appears resolved in this release, and the Mac's Preview icon now matches the iOS version from last week.
Users can enroll in the Public Beta program by visiting Apple's beta website and following the steps for each device. On an iPhone, the process involves opening the Settings app, selecting General, and choosing Software Update to opt in.
Apple recommends installing beta software on a secondary device, and anyone using a primary iPhone should make a recent backup first.
