Your Facebook blocked list is easy to miss because it sits several layers down in settings. The main list sits in Facebook's blocking controls, while Messenger, Pages, Family Center, and Facebook Dating use related blocked-account screens. Use the right path for the place where the block happened.
Check blocked profiles in the Facebook app
Use the Facebook app when you want the blocked list for your personal Facebook profile.
- 1.Open the Facebook app and tap Menu.
- 2.Tap Settings & privacy, then Settings.
- 3.Open Audience and Visibility.
- 4.Tap Blocking.
- 5.Review the blocked profiles on the Blocking screen.
Open Facebook blocks on a computer
On Facebook.com, select your profile picture in the top right. Open Settings & privacy, then choose Settings.
Under Audience and visibility, open Blocking. Meta's current help labels the next section two different ways: Block profiles and Pages on its blocking and unblocking pages, and Block users on its page for seeing the people you have blocked. Whichever label your account shows, select Edit, then choose See your blocked list.
This shows the blocked list for the Facebook profile you are using. To check another profile, switch profiles first and repeat the same path.
Jump straight to Facebook blocking settings
Open https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=blocking in a browser while signed in to Facebook.
When Facebook opens the settings page, use the controls on the Blocking tab to view your blocked list.
If Facebook sends you somewhere else, use the full desktop path from your profile picture, then Settings & privacy, Settings, Blocking, Edit, and See your blocked list.
Find blocks missing from the main list
One reason is that the person was blocked in Messenger, Facebook Dating, or a Page setting instead of your main Facebook profile. Meta keeps a separate blocked list for each of those places.
Check the main Facebook Blocking screen again while using the correct profile. Each Facebook profile has its own blocked list.
For message-only blocks, check Messenger. For Page blocks or Dating blocks, use those separate settings instead.
View blocked accounts in Messenger
In the Messenger app, open Menu, then Settings. Go to Privacy & safety and open Blocked Accounts.
Tap a name to manage or unblock that account. Messenger blocking has its own blocked-accounts area.
On Facebook.com, select Messenger in the top right. Next to Chats, open Options, choose Block settings, then use Edit in Block messages and select See your blocked list.
Review people blocked from a Facebook Page
Use these steps only when you have Page access and need the Page-level blocked list.
- 1.On mobile, switch into the Page, then open Menu.
- 2.Tap Settings & privacy, choose Settings, then tap Blocking.
- 3.Review the blocked list under Add to blocked list.
- 4.On desktop, switch to the Page from See all profiles, select the Page's profile photo in the top right, then open Settings & privacy, Settings, and Blocking in the left menu.
- 5.Select Edit, then See your blocked list.
Use Family Center supervision views
This method applies when a parent or guardian has Facebook or Messenger supervision set up for an eligible teen account. It does not show another adult's private blocked list.
On Facebook, visit Family Center, log in, select your teen's account on the left, and look below Their connections to view accounts your teen has blocked.
In Messenger, open Settings, then Family Center. Below Accounts you supervise, tap your teen's Messenger account, then use Blocked accounts under Their connections.
Manage Facebook Dating blocks separately
Facebook Dating keeps its own blocked-people list in the Facebook app on Android and iPhone. Meta documents Dating as available only from the Facebook app for Android or iPhone, so a computer or a mobile browser will not show the Dating blocked list.
Open the Facebook app, go to Dating, tap Profile in the top right, then open Settings. Go to Privacy settings and choose Block people in Dating.
The list shows people blocked in Dating, and Unblock removes a person from that list. Facebook Dating requires you to be at least 18 years old, so an account that is not eligible will not show a Dating blocked list on any device. If you are eligible and this method fails, use the Facebook app on Android or iPhone instead of Facebook.com or a mobile browser.
Skip older Facebook paths and Windows app
Old desktop directions that point to a downward-facing arrow or Account do not match the current Facebook desktop path. Treat Block users differently: it is not an outdated label, because Meta's current help still uses it for the same section that other Meta pages call Block profiles and Pages. Use profile picture, Settings & privacy, Settings, Blocking, Edit, and See your blocked list.
Old mobile directions that point through Privacy, Blocking, or Blocked People also use outdated labels. In the current Facebook app, open Audience and Visibility, then Blocking.
The Facebook for Windows app does not support viewing the blocked list. Use Facebook on the web, the Facebook app for Android, iPhone, iPad, Facebook Lite, or a mobile browser.
