Want to send someone Robux but can't find the right option? Roblox lets eligible Plus subscribers transfer an existing balance, while gifts and gift cards let you buy new Robux for someone else. Start with the direct transfer steps below, then check eligibility or choose the gifting option that fits.

Send your existing Robux in the app

You need Roblox Plus to send Robux. The recipient doesn't need a subscription, but both accounts must meet the transfer eligibility requirements.

In the Roblox app, select the Robux symbol at the top right.

Tap Send.

Search for or select the recipient.

Choose the amount to transfer from your balance.

Select Next.

Review the recipient and amount. Transfers are final.

To correct the transfer before sending, select Edit.

Select Send when the details are correct.

If you can't start the transfer in the app, try the desktop or web route below. The same account eligibility requirements apply.

On a computer, use the Robux purchase page

This gives you another way to send your existing balance when you can't start in the app.

Select the Robux symbol at the top right of Roblox.

Open Buy Robux.

Select Send.

Search for or select the recipient.

Choose an amount.

Select Next.

Review the transfer details.

For a correction, select Edit.

Select Send to submit the transfer.

Have the recipient accept the transfer

The recipient must accept the transfer, with a linked parent's approval where required.

  1. 1.Open the pending-transfer notification on the receiving account.
  2. 2.Select Accept.
  3. 3.If Roblox prompts you to ask a parent to review, have the linked parent approve the pending transfer.
  4. 4.Check My Transactions for the transfer's status.

When sending is unavailable, check eligibility

The sender needs Roblox Plus: sign into that account, open roblox.com/plus, and choose the subscription to subscribe. Standard Plus includes no monthly Robux stipend. On mobile, update Roblox through its official app store.

For an age check, open the gear icon > Settings on desktop or More (…) > Settings on mobile. Under Account info > Age Group, choose Continue with selfie or Continue with ID and complete verification. ID verification starts at age 13, subject to regional requirements.

Age-checked users aged 16 and older need no parental approval in most regions; regions with an under-18 requirement retain that cutoff. Younger users need a linked parent to approve every applicable incoming or outgoing transfer. To link a parent, open the child's Settings > Parental Controls > Add parent, complete the parent's age verification, and select Agree.

Ordinary limits are 500 Robux daily and 1,000 monthly; elevated limits are 5,000 daily and 10,000 monthly, with lower limits depending on account eligibility. With a verified email, open Account Settings > Security and finish setting up 2-Step Verification. Higher limits depend on two-step verification and good standing; enabling it alone doesn't establish eligibility.

Use a request link to buy new Robux for someone. This option serves select US recipients aged 18 or older on computer or web; the buyer must also be US-based, at least 18, and phone-verified.

On the recipient's account, open Buy Robux.

Select Request Robux.

Share the request link or QR code with the buyer.

As the buyer, open the shared request in a browser. You don't need the Roblox app or a Roblox account.

Check the displayed username and avatar to confirm the recipient.

Choose a Robux package.

Choose a message.

Select Checkout.

Verify your phone number.

Enter your payment details. Prepaid payment cards aren't accepted.

Complete the purchase.

Give a gift card and redeem it on the right account

Gift cards buy new value rather than move your existing balance. On Roblox's gift-card page, select Shop gift cards to buy a physical or digital card. Digital cards support an amount, a message, and email delivery; availability depends on your country and retailer.

Give the recipient the unused redemption code.

As the recipient, open roblox.com/redeem in a browser. A mobile browser works too.

Sign into the account that should receive the gift.

Enter the code.

Select Redeem.

Redeem any additional codes individually.

For a card that adds Roblox Credit, select Get Robux on the redemption page. Amazon and Party Pack cards redeem directly for Robux.

Select Buy to convert the credit into Robux on that same account.

To choose another package, select Buy Robux.

For remaining credit below a package's price, select Get Robux or Convert Credit to Robux, whichever appears.

Refresh your balance after converting the remainder.

If redemption isn't available in your app or console, try the browser route. The supported Samsung Galaxy Roblox app also accepts codes through More > Redeem: enter the code there and wait for confirmation.

A linked parent can add Robux directly

For a child linked to your parent account, Roblox provides an Add Robux option. Parental controls are available on Roblox.com and in the iOS and Android apps.

In the parent account, open Settings > Parental Controls. Select the child's account.

Scroll to Robux and select Add Robux. Complete the displayed flow to add Robux to the child's account.

Support someone through their game or items

For an in-game tip or donation, open a participating game's transfer control. Its label depends on the game.

Complete the Roblox-controlled transfer prompt. You need Plus to send, the recipient must be eligible, and the amount must be 10–500 Robux. The recipient gets 90%, the facilitating game gets 10%, and Roblox takes no platform fee.

For a pass purchase, buy the recipient's available pass through its own game's purchase flow or the experience's Store. Passes are normally one-time purchases; seller earnings have fees and pending holds.

For repeatable purchases, buy the creator's developer product through their own game or a Roblox external listing.

To support a clothing creator, purchase their item's Marketplace listing.

For other supported avatar assets, open the item's details in Marketplace.

Check the item's creator. Buying an item another player wears pays the item creator and, for an in-game purchase, the facilitating game owner; it doesn't automatically pay the wearer.

Select Buy.

Confirm the purchase.

Choose direct transfers to move an existing balance; creator purchases distribute sales revenue after applicable deductions and holds.

Use community payouts when you manage group funds

Community payouts send available group funds to eligible members.

Open Creator Dashboard as the group owner or an authorized revenue manager. Payouts are subject to eligibility checks and initial locks.

Select your group in the account switcher.

Open Finances > Payouts.

Select Send Robux.

Choose the recipients.

Set each recipient's payout amount.

Complete the eligibility checks.

Finish the required authentication.

Confirm the payout. The Robux comes from community funds, not your personal balance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can received transfer Robux be exchanged through DevEx?

No. Robux received through transfers is not DevEx-eligible.

Yes. Roblox gift-card codes can be redeemed worldwide, although purchase availability varies by country and retailer.

Does Roblox sell gift packs for several recipients?
