Finding your Facebook followers gets confusing because personal profiles, professional mode, and Pages use different follower screens. Start with the fastest profile route, then use Activity Log, account downloads, or Page tools when the first option is not visible. Here are the current places Facebook puts follower lists and follower data.

Check Your Followers on Facebook.com

This fixes the standard desktop search for personal-profile followers.

Open Facebook.com and go to Home.

Click your profile name or profile picture to open your personal profile.

Select Friends under your profile header. If Friends is not shown, click More below your cover photo, then Friends.

Click Followers to see people who follow you without being your friends. Facebook does not list which of your friends follow you, and the Followers option does not appear if you have no followers.

Find Followers in the Facebook App

On iPhone or Android, open the Facebook app, go to Menu, and tap your profile name.

Under Details, select See Your About Info.

Scroll to Followers and tap See All to view the followers Facebook shows there.

Friends automatically follow you, but this list shows people who follow you without being your friends.

Open Activity Log When the Profile Tab Is Missing

In the Facebook app, tap Menu.

Tap Options below your profile picture. On some app versions this is a three-dot menu next to Edit profile.

Open Activity Log.

Go to Connections.

Select Followers.

Open People who followed you.

On desktop, click your profile picture in the top right of Facebook.com.

Select Settings & privacy, then Activity Log.

Under Activity history, open Connections, then Followers.

Select People who followed you.

Use this route when the normal profile follower link is absent or hard to find.

Why Followers Do Not Appear

The most common cause is that your personal profile is not set up to show non-friend public followers.

Meta is phasing out the Public follower option for regular profiles, which only let friends follow you. If your account still offers it, go to Settings & privacy, then Settings, then Followers and public content, and set Who can follow me to Public.

If that option is gone, turn on pro mode, previously called professional mode. Pro mode lets people who are not your friends follow you, and Meta says you can regain previous followers and the ability to have followers by turning it on.

To turn it on, click your profile photo in the top right of Facebook, click your name, then click Options below your cover photo. In the app, tap Menu, then Options.

Choose Turn on pro mode, then Turn on.

To turn it off later, open the same Options menu and choose Turn off pro mode.

Select Continue, then Turn off. Your Who can follow me setting changes to Friends, and you lose followers who are not your friends.

Download Your Facebook Information

Use this when you want connection data as a downloaded record instead of a quick on-screen follower check.

  1. 1.On Facebook.com, click your profile picture and open Settings & privacy, then Settings.
  2. 2.Go to Meta Account or Accounts Center.
  3. 3.Open Your information and permissions.
  4. 4.Select Export your information. Older menus label it Download your information or Download or transfer your information.
  5. 5.Choose Create export, pick your Facebook information, make sure Connections is included, then download the file when it is ready. Meta says Connections covers your friends and followers.

See Who Follows Your Facebook Page

Page followers are separate from personal-profile followers. To view them, click your profile photo in the top right, select See all profiles, and switch into your Page. From your Page’s Feed, click your Page name in the left menu.

Under the cover photo, open the Followers tab. If it is hidden, choose More, then Followers.

In the app, tap Menu, tap Options, and select your Page. Tap Profile, then tap Followers below your Page photo.

If this method fails, make sure you are viewing the Page itself instead of your personal profile, then use Professional dashboard for follower metrics.

Fix Page Insights and Access Issues

The most common cause of Page follower confusion is using the wrong profile or lacking the right Page access.

In the Facebook app, open Menu.

Tap Options, then select the Page to switch into it.

Tap Menu again, then open Professional dashboard.

Tap Analytics.

Swipe left, then tap Audience.

On a computer, switch into the Page, click Professional dashboard in the left menu, then Insights, then Audience.

Use this screen for follower metrics and insights, not a complete named follower list. A person with Facebook access with full control can grant Page access to a trusted manager; after the manager accepts, they can use the Page follower methods above.

Avoid Older Facebook Follower Settings

Older guides point to a Public Posts settings page. That area is now called Followers and public content, and it still holds the Who can follow me setting.

Meta is removing the Public choice in Who can follow me from regular profiles, which then only let friends follow. If your profile no longer offers Public, turn on pro mode so non-friends can follow you.

Other old tutorials point to Friends, More, and Following. Use Followers, Followed by, See Your About Info, or Activity Log instead, because Following is for accounts and Pages you follow.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I see every person who follows me on Facebook?

Not all of them. Facebook lists people who follow you without being your friends, but it does not show which of your friends follow you. If you have no followers, the Followers option does not appear.

Do Facebook friends count as followers?

Yes. Friends automatically follow you on Facebook.

Why can’t non-friends follow my personal profile?

Meta is phasing out the Public follower option for regular profiles, which only let friends follow you. If Settings & privacy > Settings > Followers and public content still offers Public under Who can follow me, select it. Otherwise, turn on pro mode, previously called professional mode, to let non-friends follow you.

Is a Facebook Page follower list the same as my personal followers?

No. Page followers belong to the Page. Personal-profile followers are viewed from your personal profile, About section, Activity Log, or information download.
