Capturing what's on your Xiaomi 14T Pro's vibrant display is a breeze, and you have a few different ways to do it. Whether you're saving a confirmation email or sharing a funny chat, one of these methods will get the job done in seconds.
Press the Power and Volume Down Buttons
The classic button combo is the most reliable method. Just press and hold the Power button and the Volume Down button together for a brief moment. You'll see a quick flash and hear a shutter sound, confirming the capture. A small preview thumbnail will pop up in the corner, which you can tap to edit or share right away.
Swipe Down with Three Fingers
This is often the fastest way on Xiaomi phones. Simply place three fingers anywhere on the screen and swipe down in one smooth motion. The screen will capture instantly. I find this gesture incredibly handy when you need to take a screenshot quickly without fumbling for buttons.
If this doesn't work, you may need to enable it. Go to Settings > Additional settings > Buttons & gestures and look for the three-finger screenshot toggle.
Use the Quick Settings Tile
Swipe down from the top of your screen twice to open the full Quick Settings panel. Look for a tile labeled Screenshot. If you don't see it, tap the pencil icon to edit your tiles and add it from the list below. Once it's there, a single tap will capture your screen.
This method is perfect for when you're using the phone one-handed or if the physical buttons feel awkward.
Take a Screenshot from the Notification Shade
On your Xiaomi 14T Pro running HyperOS, you can also take a screenshot directly from the notification panel. Swipe down once to see your notifications, and you should see a Screenshot button in the bottom-right corner, next to the settings gear. Tapping it captures the screen you were just on.
Capture Long Scrolling Screenshots
This feature is great for saving entire web pages or long chat histories. First, take a regular screenshot using any method. Immediately after, you'll see a preview menu at the bottom of the screen.
Tap the icon that looks like two rectangles with an arrow, usually labeled Scroll or Extend. The phone will automatically capture more of the page below. You can keep tapping it to scroll and capture as much as you need into one tall image.
Edit and Annotate Immediately
Don't dismiss that preview thumbnail too fast. Tapping on it opens a powerful editor. You can crop the image, draw on it with different colors, add text, or blur sensitive information with the mosaic tool. When you're done, tap the share button to send it off via any app without ever saving it to your gallery first.
Find Your Saved Screenshots
All your screenshots are automatically saved and organized. The easiest place to find them is in the Gallery app. Open it and look for an album named Screenshots. You can also find the files directly in your phone's storage by using the File Manager app and navigating to Internal storage > Pictures > Screenshots.
If you're having trouble with any gesture or button method not working, a quick restart can often resolve it. Just press and hold the Power button for about 15 seconds until the Xiaomi logo reappears. With the 120W charging, your phone will be back up and ready to go in no time.
