To screen record on a Samsung Galaxy A10e, install Mobizen from Google Play if offered for your phone, open its floating AirCircle, tap Record, then approve screen capture. Samsung's built-in Screen recorder is not supported on the A10e running stock Samsung software. XRecorder and AZ Recorder are other phone apps you can use when Google Play offers them, while scrcpy and Android Debug Bridge let you record using a computer.
The short version
- Phone recording: Open Mobizen, tap its floating AirCircle, select Record, then tap START NOW.
- Compatibility: Google Play determines whether each recorder app can be installed on your A10e.
- Audio: XRecorder and AZ Recorder support internal audio on Android 10 or later, subject to the recorded app's restrictions.
- Computer recording: Use scrcpy to save recordings on your computer or Android Debug Bridge for short videos without audio.
| Recording method | Recording controls | Main requirement or limit |
|---|---|---|
| Mobizen | Floating AirCircle | Google Play must offer installation on your phone |
| XRecorder | Floating ball | Internal audio requires Android 10 or later |
| AZ Recorder | App recording controls | Internal audio requires Android 10 or later |
| scrcpy | Computer terminal | USB debugging; audio requires Android 11 or later |
| Android Debug Bridge | Computer terminal | No audio and a three-minute recording limit |
Install Mobizen on your A10e
Open the official Mobizen Screen Recorder listing in Google Play and confirm that the developer is MOBIZEN. Tap Install, then open Mobizen when installation finishes.
Mobizen requires Android 5.0 or later, but Google Play determines compatibility with your particular phone. If Google Play does not offer installation on your A10e, check XRecorder or AZ Recorder, or use one of the computer methods below.
Start and stop your Mobizen recording
With Mobizen open, tap the floating AirCircle, then tap Record. Approve screen capture by tapping START NOW; the dialog's capitalization can vary with Android. Perform the actions you want to capture on your screen.
When you finish, use Mobizen's recording control to stop the capture. Select View video to review your saved recording.
Use XRecorder or AZ Recorder instead
For XRecorder, open Google Play and search for Screen Recorder - XRecorder by InShot Inc. Tap Install when Google Play offers it for your phone, then open the app. Start capture by tapping its floating ball.
After tapping the floating ball, approve the screen-capture request that appears. XRecorder supports pausing and resuming a recording, as well as microphone recording. Use its recording controls to end the capture when you finish.
Another option is Screen Recorder - AZ Recorder by AZ Screen Recorder, which you can find in Google Play. Tap Install when Google Play offers it for your A10e, then open the app and use its recording controls to start capture. Those controls also let you pause, resume, and stop your recording.
Choose a method that captures the audio you need
For narration, XRecorder and AZ Recorder support microphone capture. To capture sound playing inside an app, both require Android 10 or later for internal-audio recording. The app being recorded can still restrict audio capture, so meeting the Android requirement does not guarantee that its sound will be included.
Computer recording has different limits: scrcpy captures audio on Android 11 or later, while its recordings from Android 9 or 10 are video only. Android Debug Bridge's screenrecord utility records no audio. Choose your recording method with those limits in mind.
Prepare your phone for computer recording
Both computer methods require USB debugging and authorization of the connected computer. On your A10e, open Settings > About phone > Software information, then tap Build number seven times. Enter your phone's pattern, PIN, or password when prompted.
Return to Settings and open Developer options, then turn on USB debugging. Connect your phone to the computer by USB and authorize that computer on the phone. Complete this setup before running either recording command below.
Record to your computer with scrcpy
Open the official scrcpy project page. Under Get the app, select Linux, Windows, or macOS and follow the installation instructions for your computer. scrcpy supports Android 5.0 or later.
Keep your A10e connected by USB with USB debugging enabled and the computer authorized. On Android 11, unlock the phone before starting scrcpy so audio capture can start. Open a terminal on the computer and run this command to record:
scrcpy --record=file.mp4For a video-only recording, use the following command instead. This disables audio, which scrcpy cannot capture from Android 9 or 10:
scrcpy --no-audio --record=file.mp4Perform the actions you want to record on your phone. Press Ctrl + C in the terminal when you finish. The recording is saved on your computer as file.mp4.
Make a short recording with Android Debug Bridge
Android Debug Bridge, usually called adb, is another option when you are comfortable using a computer terminal. Its screen-recording utility works on Android 4.4 or later, including the A10e, but records no audio and has a three-minute maximum. Avoid rotating your phone's screen during capture.
Open the official Android SDK Platform-Tools download page and choose the download for Windows, Mac, or Linux. Read the license, then turn on the setting that reads "I have read and agree with the above terms and conditions". Select the download button for your operating system and extract the downloaded archive.
With USB debugging enabled and the USB-connected computer authorized, use a terminal that can run adb from the extracted Platform-Tools. Start recording with this command:
adb shell screenrecord /sdcard/demo.mp4Perform the actions you need to capture, then press Ctrl + C to stop before the three-minute limit. The video is saved on the phone at /sdcard/demo.mp4. Copy it to your computer with this command:
adb pull /sdcard/demo.mp4Fix blocked recording or missing sound
If Mobizen's START NOW permission button will not respond, turn off any third-party blue-light or screen-filter overlay and try again. Mobizen also suggests stopping or uninstalling the interfering filter app if it continues to block the button.
If recording is blocked on a managed phone or in a work profile, ask your administrator to review the organization's screen-capture policy. The administrator's management console determines how that restriction is changed. Removing a policy restriction does not add Samsung's built-in recorder to the A10e.
If recording fails only in one app, protected content or that app's capture restrictions may explain it. Audio-capture policies can also leave a recording without the app's sound even when your Android version meets the recorder's requirements. Switching recorder apps does not guarantee that restricted video or audio can be captured.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you need to root your Galaxy A10e to use scrcpy?
No, scrcpy requires neither root access nor a permanently installed phone app. You do need USB debugging and authorization of the connected computer.
Can you stop an AZ Recorder recording by shaking the phone?
AZ Recorder supports shaking the phone to stop recording. You can also stop capture with its regular recording controls.
Can you follow older Google Play Games recording instructions?
Do not rely on the older Play Games recording workflow for your A10e. Google now documents recording through Play Games Sidekick, but does not specify A10e eligibility for that option.
Do you need an older version of Platform-Tools for the A10e?
Google says current Platform-Tools are backward compatible with older Android versions. You can use the current download for adb recording instead of seeking an older release.
