To fix wireless charging in Flux Networks, connect a Flux Controller to your powered network, enable your personal wireless charging settings, select supported item slots, and click Apply. If charging still fails, check power input, transfer limits, and chunk loading.
These steps cover Minecraft Java Edition with Flux Networks 8.0.0 for Minecraft 1.21.1 and 7.2.1 for Minecraft 1.20.1 unless a narrower version is stated. Start with the controller and your personal settings before changing server configuration.
The short version
- Controller: Your network needs a connected Flux Controller for player charging.
- Personal settings: Each player must enable wireless charging for the intended network and click Apply.
- Supported slots: Put equipment in enabled hotbar, hand, armor, or supported Curios slots.
- Power supply: Check input, transfer limits, and competing consumers when charging stays slow or stopped.
- Charging away from base: Keep the controller, source connector, and necessary power infrastructure loaded.

Connect a Flux Controller to the powered network
Place a Flux Controller if your network lacks one. Right-click it, open Network Selection, and select the network supplied by your Flux Plug. A working Plug-to-Point connection alone does not enable player charging, even when your machines receive energy.
Enable and save your personal charging settings
Right-click a connected Flux device, such as a Flux Controller, Plug, or Point, and open Wireless Charging. Activate the slot groups you need, turn on Enable Wireless, and click Apply. Each player must configure their own charging settings, so another player's working equipment does not confirm yours is configured.
Make these changes on the powered network you intend to use. You have one selected personal charging network, and applying wireless settings to a different network changes that selection. If charging stopped after you configured another network, return to the intended one and apply your settings there.
On a shared network, open Network Members and check that you belong to the intended network. Have the network owner resolve missing membership or access, then apply your own wireless settings. In Flux Networks 8.0.0 for Minecraft 1.21.1, the server rejects enabling charging for a player absent from the network's member list.
In Flux Networks 8.0.0 for Minecraft 1.21.1, you can also hold a Flux Configurator and right-click a block that is not a Flux connector to open its network interface. With the correct network selected, open Wireless Charging and apply your personal settings. Use the controller directly if the Configurator's network selection or interface fails.
Put the item in a supported charging slot
Move the rechargeable item out of your main inventory and into an enabled hotbar, hand, armor, or supported Curios slot. The charging groups are Armor Slots, Curios Slots, Hotbar Slots, Main Hand, and Off Hand. Select the relevant groups in Wireless Charging and click Apply.
Enable Main Hand when checking an item selected on your hotbar, even if Hotbar Slots is already enabled. Hotbar charging excludes the selected item, so the hand setting matters for equipment you are holding. You cannot activate Main Inventory (Disabled) in these official releases, so keep the item in a supported charging slot.
Restore the network power supply
Attach a Flux Plug to your energy source's output and connect it to the controller's network. A Flux Plug adds energy to the network, while a Flux Point delivers energy to adjacent consumers. Check that these roles have not been reversed at your source.
If the network still receives no power, check the generator or storage block's own output configuration. Those controls belong to the mod providing that block, so the correct output settings depend on your source.
Check transfer limits and competing consumers
Open the Flux Plug and Flux Controller individually, then open Home on each. Increase Transfer Limit above zero to a value appropriate for your supply and charging needs, or turn on Bypass Limit. Check the same controls on any Flux Storage supplying the network if its throughput is restricting delivery.
These changes remove a configured Flux Networks cap, but your item still controls how much energy it accepts. If transfer remains slow after increasing the limits, compare another rechargeable FE item and check the original item's input cap.
When other consumers exhaust the available power, open the controller's Home tab and increase Priority relative to those consumers, or turn on Power Surge. Make sure the input source can supply enough energy as well. These controls allocate available power; they do not create more.
Keep charging active when you leave your base
If charging stops when you leave the base, open the controller and source-side Flux Plug. Under Home, turn on Chunk Loading for each. Keep the generator and necessary power infrastructure in loaded chunks too, because a connector's loading does not cover an entire base spread across multiple chunks.
Server policy can disable these loading controls. For Flux Networks 8.0.0 on Minecraft 1.21.1, the world or server owner can inspect the active world's serverconfig/fluxnetworks-server.toml and set enableChunkLoading = true under [general] if server policy permits it. The active-world location depends on the Minecraft instance or server directory.
Reload the world or restart the server after changing that setting, then enable the individual connectors' Chunk Loading switches. Editing only a client configuration does not change the server's loading policy.
Check item compatibility and blacklist restrictions
For an item that still refuses to charge, place another known rechargeable Forge Energy (FE) item in an enabled slot. If that item charges, check the original item's energy compatibility, charging mode, and input cap. The FE connector needs an item that exposes a compatible energy capability and allows energy to be received.
In Flux Networks 8.0.0 for Minecraft 1.21.1, the world or server owner can also inspect serverconfig/fluxnetworks-server.toml under [blacklist]. Check itemBlackListStrings for an affected item, or blockBlacklistStrings when power input from a source block is blocked.
Removing an entry removes that item's or block's blacklist restriction. If the restriction is unintended and server or modpack policy permits the change, remove the affected modid:registry_name entry from the relevant list. Save the file, then reload the world or restart the server.
Restore GTCEu integration when your setup needs it
For a GTCEu-specific compatibility problem in GTCEu Modern with Flux Networks 7.2.1 for Minecraft 1.20.1 or the 1.21.1 integration, inspect config/fluxnetworks-common.toml. Under [integration], set enableGTCEU = true, then restart the game or server.
For EU-to-FE supply conversion, enable GTCEu's nativeEUToPlatformNative setting and set euToPlatformRatio = 4. Apply these integration settings only when your setup involves GTCEu.
Choose an update that matches your Minecraft version
If you use an affected older build, open the official Flux Networks download page and select Files. Choose a release matching your Minecraft version and loader, and keep the server and clients compatible.
The listed releases include 8.0.0 for Minecraft 1.21.1 with NeoForge, 7.2.1 for Minecraft 1.20.1, and 7.1.4 for Minecraft 1.19.2. Do not install the 1.21.1 file into a 1.20.1 pack.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does the charging screen say charging is effective when nothing charges?
The message Wireless Charging is Effective means your personal charging selection is enabled. It does not confirm that the network has a Flux Controller or usable energy, so check both even when that message appears.
Can adding a second Flux Controller fix the same network?
Only one Flux Controller can belong to a network. If yours already has one, check its network connection and your personal charging settings.
Does copying settings with the Flux Configurator copy personal wireless charging settings?
Copying device settings does not replace applying your personal wireless settings. In Flux Networks 8.0.0 for Minecraft 1.21.1, the Configurator's copy and paste actions concern device configuration, so you still need to save your charging selection separately.
Do you need SonarCore to fix wireless charging?
The Flux Networks author specifies that versions 4.0.7 and above no longer require SonarCore. That dependency applies to historical version 3.0.19 and earlier, so you do not need to add it to repair charging in current 7.x or 8.x releases.
