You open a Twitch channel to use your Prime subscription, but the option is missing or disabled. The fix depends on whether you're using the wrong subscription screen, have already spent the monthly benefit, or need to correct your account connection. Start with the browser redemption page, then check the account and membership details that control access.
Start with the browser subscription page
Open subs.twitch.tv in a mobile or desktop browser.
Sign in to the Twitch account you want to subscribe with.
Select a followed channel or search for the streamer. For a direct route, open https://subs.twitch.tv/CHANNELNAME, replacing CHANNELNAME with the streamer's channel name.
Choose the Prime subscription option.
On a regular Twitch channel page, open Subscribe.
Check Subscribe with Prime.
Select Subscribe to redeem the benefit. The channel must be a Partner or Affiliate, and your account needs an eligible, unused benefit.
If the Prime option is still missing or disabled, check whether you've already used it before changing your account connection.
Check where your monthly benefit went
Visit your Twitch subscriptions page to find your current Prime subscription. Twitch places it on the left and marks it with a Prime crown icon.
Check the disabled Prime button in a channel's Subscribe panel for the next availability date. That is when you can redeem the benefit again.
You cannot cancel a redeemed Prime channel subscription to recover its benefit and spend it elsewhere. Wait for the next monthly redemption.
If your previous subscription ended, redeem the available benefit again through Subscribe > Subscribe with Prime > Subscribe. Prime channel subscriptions do not renew automatically.
Connect the Amazon account that holds Prime
Sign in to the Twitch account you intend to use for the subscription.
Open Twitch's Prime Member Perks page.
Select Disconnect if the linked Amazon account is the wrong one.
Select Connect.
Sign in to the Amazon account that holds your eligible Prime membership.
Return to the channel's Subscribe panel to check for the Prime option.
Use reconnecting to correct an account mismatch; Amazon does not promise that repeatedly linking the same accounts resolves a missing benefit.
Use the right mobile subscription screen
This gives iPhone and iPad users a supported redemption route and locates the Prime option on Android.
On an iPhone or iPad, open subs.twitch.tv in Safari. Twitch does not support Prime redemption inside its iOS app.
Sign in to your Twitch account.
Select the channel you want to support.
Choose the Prime subscription option to apply your benefit.
On Android, tap the live channel's video player to reveal Subscribe.
Tap Subscribe. This button is also accessible from the channel's profile while the channel is offline.
Select the available Prime option. Prime subscriptions in the Android app are available in supported regions.
If the app shows Gift a Sub instead, open your profile picture.
Select Subscriptions to inspect your existing subscription, which replaces the channel's Subscribe button with Gift a Sub.
Confirm your membership and location qualify
Check your membership's regional terms if your accounts are connected but no Prime option appears. A qualifying Prime trial provides at most one channel subscription, and subsequent trials do not provide another. Trial eligibility, including Prime Student trials, varies by region.
Prime members in India do not receive the monthly Twitch channel subscription token. Changing browsers or reconnecting accounts cannot add that entitlement.
Compare your membership with your local eligibility terms. Amazon's UK eligibility page includes paid Prime memberships and Prime Video-only memberships sold outside Prime regions, but excludes Prime Video trials outside Prime regions from the channel subscription benefit. It also limits the offer to one member per Amazon Household or Amazon Family, so check whether another member has claimed it.
If the benefit is missing only on one channel, open Subscribe on a Partner or Affiliate channel. Channel eligibility is one of the conditions for displaying the Prime option.
Rule out a browser problem
Use these steps when your account is eligible and the monthly benefit is unused, but the subscription page still fails. Browser troubleshooting cannot restore a spent benefit or make an ineligible membership qualify.
Update your browser first. Twitch supports the latest two versions of Chrome and Firefox, plus the latest Edge, Safari, Opera, and Opera GX.
In desktop Chrome on Windows or Mac, open More > Help > About Google Chrome to check for an update.
Select Relaunch if offered.
On Linux, update Chrome through your package manager. On a Chromebook, use ChromeOS updates instead.
If the problem continues, open More > Extensions > Manage extensions in Chrome.
Turn off your extensions.
Retry the Twitch subscription flow before clearing browsing data.
For a persistent failure, open More > Delete browsing data.
Set the time range to All time.
Select Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files.
Deselect unrelated categories.
Select Delete data. Clearing cookies means you'll need to sign in again.
Restart the browser.
Sign back in to Twitch.
Try the subscription page again.
If the failure persists, disconnect any VPN or other IP-rerouting software using its own controls.
Retry the subscription flow.
Test the subscription flow using mobile data or another Wi-Fi network if it still fails.
Try another device if changing networks does not help.
Resolve an Amazon activation error
These checks address Amazon's Oh No! benefit-activation error.
Open Amazon's help page for the Oh No! error during Luna signup.
Follow its payment-method settings link.
Verify the card number on the payment method.
Check that the billing address and postal code are correct.
Confirm that sufficient funds are available for a temporary authorization.
Ask your card issuer whether it is blocking authorization requests if the error continues.
Check that your location is eligible for the benefit.
Confirm that your Amazon country settings match your actual country. These activation checks do not require you to buy a paid Twitch subscription.
Restore a subscription announcement in chat
A disabled subscription-posting setting hides the announcement even after your Prime subscription has been redeemed.
On Twitch's website, open your profile picture.
Open Settings > Prime Perks.
Under Subscriptions Settings, enable Post Subscription to display the Prime announcement.
After redeeming or renewing, select Share at the top of chat to send the subscription message and trigger the broadcaster's configured alerts.
These controls affect the announcement, not the availability of your monthly benefit.
Check service status before contacting support
Check Login, Web, Purchases, and Past Incidents on Twitch's status page. For a relevant active incident, follow its updates and retry after service recovers.
For an unresolved missing Prime benefit or free channel subscription, use the ticket link under Prime Purchase Support in Twitch's Contacting Purchase Support help article.
For Twitch subscription fulfillment or technical problems, use the purchase-support ticket link in that article. Sign in when prompted.
Include the affected Twitch and Amazon accounts, the channel name, a screenshot of the error, and relevant transaction details if you have any. State whether the Prime option is missing, disabled, or successfully redeemed but absent from chat.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to change my email addresses to make them match?
Changing email addresses is not a supported fix for a missing Prime subscription. Link the Twitch account you want to use to the Amazon account holding your eligible membership through twitch.tv/prime.
How do I correct my Amazon country settings after moving?
After a genuine move, open Manage Your Devices > Preferences > Country Settings > Change. Enter your new address and phone number, then select Update. Review the marketplace-transfer prompts before confirming. Amazon instructs users to cancel existing Luna subscriptions before transferring because those subscriptions do not transfer between countries. This process is not a way to bypass regional eligibility.
How do I remove a Chrome extension that caused the problem?
Once you have identified the conflicting extension, open More > Extensions > Manage extensions. Select Remove for that extension, then confirm Remove.
Should I reinstall the Twitch desktop app to fix this?
No. Twitch retired its Windows and Mac desktop app on April 30, 2022. Use the Twitch website or subs.twitch.tv in a supported browser.
