Cookies keep site data in your browser, and clearing them is a direct way to remove stored website data when a page needs a fresh start. Pick the browser you use most, clear only Cookies or Site data where the browser gives you a choice, then reload the site and sign in again if needed.

1. Clear Cookies in Chrome

On desktop Chrome, open More > Delete browsing data, choose Basic or Advanced, pick a Time range, check Cookies and other site data, then select Delete data.

You can also press Ctrl+Shift+Delete on Windows, Linux, or ChromeOS, or Command+Shift+Delete on Mac, then clear Cookies and other site data.

On Android, use More > Settings > Privacy and security > Delete browsing data, choose a Time range, check Cookies and site data, then tap Delete data.

On iPhone or iPad, go to More > Settings > Privacy and Security > Delete Browsing Data, check Cookies, Site Data, uncheck anything you want to keep, tap Delete Browsing Data, confirm Delete Browsing Data, then tap Done.

2. Remove Safari Cookies

On iPhone, open Settings > Apps > Safari, tap Clear History and Website Data, choose the timeframe, then tap Clear History.

To clear Safari cookies and cache on iPhone while keeping history, open Settings > Apps > Safari > Advanced > Website Data, tap Remove All Website Data, then tap Remove Now.

To block all cookies on iPhone and remove existing cookies and website data, open Settings > Apps > Safari > Advanced, turn on Block All Cookies, then tap Block All.

On iPad, open Safari and choose Show Sidebar > History > More > Clear, pick the amount of history under Clear Timeframe, then tap Clear History.

On Mac, open Safari > Settings > Privacy > Manage Website Data, select one or more websites, then choose Remove or Remove All.

Use Remove All Website Data on iPhone when you want cookies gone without clearing Safari history.

3. Wipe Microsoft Edge Cookies

This fixes stored Edge site data on your device.

Open Edge and go to Settings and more > Settings > Privacy, search, and services.

Under Clear browsing data, choose Choose what to clear next to Clear browsing data now.

Choose a Time range.

Select Cookies and other site data.

Click Clear now.

For the shortcut route, press Ctrl+Shift+Delete on Windows or Command+Shift+Delete on Mac, choose a Time range, select Cookies and other site data, then click Clear now.

4. Clear Firefox Site Data

On desktop Firefox, open Firefox menu > Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data.

Choose Clear Data… or Clear browsing data.

Set When to Everything, or choose a shorter period.

Check Cookies and site data.

Click Clear.

To keep other Firefox data, open Firefox menu > History > Clear Recent History…, set When to Everything, select Cookies and site data, deselect anything you want to keep, then choose Clear.

On Android, open Three-dot menu > Settings > Privacy and security > Delete browsing data, mark the cookie or site-data item shown, then tap Delete browsing data > Delete.

On iPhone or iPad, open Menu button > Settings > Privacy > Data Management, then tap Clear Private Data.

Use the desktop History path when you want cookies cleared while preserving other selected Firefox data.

5. Clean Up Brave and Opera Cookies

In Brave desktop, open Menu > Settings > Additional settings > Privacy and Security > Delete browsing data > Advanced.

Deselect Browsing history and Cached files when you only want cookies removed.

Click Clear data.

In Brave on iPhone or iPad, tap Menu > All Settings > Shields & Privacy, scroll to Clear Private Data, choose data types including Cookies, then tap Clear Data Now.

In Opera desktop, open Settings with Alt+P on Windows or Linux, or Command+, on Mac, go to Privacy & security > Delete browsing data, select the time range and data types including cookies or site data, then click Clear data.

6. Delete Samsung Internet and Vivaldi Cookies

In Samsung Internet, open More options > Settings > Personal browsing data > Delete browsing data.

Select Cookies and site data and any other data types you want to remove.

Tap Delete data.

In Vivaldi desktop, open Vivaldi menu > Tools > Delete Browsing Data, choose the time range, select Cookies, then click Delete.

For another Vivaldi desktop route, open History Manager > Clear Browsing Data, use Quick Commands and type Delete Browsing Data, or press Ctrl+Shift+Del on Windows/Linux or Shift+Command+Delete on Mac.

Samsung Internet groups cookies under Personal browsing data, while Vivaldi keeps them under Delete Browsing Data.

7. Remove Cookies From One Website

This clears one site's stored data without clearing cookies for every site.

In Chrome desktop or Android, open the website, select Page info by the address bar, open Cookies and site data, then choose Delete next to the stored data.

In Edge desktop, go to Settings and more > Settings > Privacy, search, and services > Cookies > See all cookies and site data, search for the site, select the down arrow to the right of it, then choose Delete.

In Safari on Mac, open Safari > Settings > Privacy > Manage Website Data, select one or more websites, then choose Remove.

In Firefox desktop, click the Padlock or Shield icon to the left of the address bar, then choose Clear cookies and site data.

In Firefox desktop settings, open Firefox menu > Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data > Manage Data…, search in Search websites, choose Remove Selected or Remove All Shown, then click Save Changes > OK.

In Firefox on Android, open the website, tap the Shield or Lock icon in the address bar, tap Clear cookies and site data, tap Clear, then reload the website.

In Firefox on iPhone or iPad, go to Menu button > Settings > Privacy > Data Management > Website Data, tap the site or Show More, then choose Clear Items.

In Brave desktop, open Menu > Settings > Additional settings > Privacy and Security > Site and shields settings > Cookies and site data > View permissions and data stored across sites, then choose the site data to remove.

In Vivaldi for Android, tap the Site info button on the left side of the address bar, open Cookies and site data, then tap Delete next to the stored-data count.

8. Clear Cookies Automatically

In Edge desktop, go to Settings and more > Settings > Privacy, search, and services > Clear browsing data > Choose what to clear every time you close the browser, then turn on Cookies and other site data.

In Brave desktop, open Menu > Settings > Additional settings > Privacy and Security > Clear browsing data > On exit, then select the cookie or site-data items to clear when Brave closes.

In Brave for Android, go to Menu > Settings > Brave Shields and Privacy > Clear browsing data, then turn on Clear data on exit.

In Opera desktop, open Settings > Privacy and Security > Delete browsing data > On exit, choose cookies and other site data, then click Save.

In Opera desktop cookie settings, open Settings > Advanced > Privacy & security > Site settings > Cookies and site data, then use Clear cookies and site data when you quit Opera or add sites next to Clear on exit.

In Firefox for Android, go to Three-dot menu > Settings > Privacy and security > Delete browsing data on quit, turn on Delete browsing data on quit, then choose the cookie or site-data item shown.

In Vivaldi for Android, open Vivaldi menu > Settings > Privacy and Security > Clear browsing data on exit, turn it on, then choose Cookies and site data and any other data types.

9. Reset Browser App Data and Check Sync

On a Samsung Galaxy phone or tablet, open Settings > Apps, select or search for the browser app, then choose Storage > Clear data > Delete. This resets local app data for that browser app.

On iPhone or iPad, touch and hold a third-party browser app, choose Remove App > Delete App > Delete. For Safari, use Safari's own settings because Safari is system-integrated.

In Edge, decide whether Sync is on before clearing local or synced browsing data.

To turn off Edge sync, open Settings and more > Settings > Profiles > Sync, then choose Turn off sync.

Use the Microsoft privacy dashboard for Microsoft cloud data. Microsoft says privacy-dashboard deletions do not delete data from the device.

Skip Internet Explorer, pre-Chromium Legacy Edge, and old Firefox Android hardware-menu instructions when you want current browser cookie controls.
