Need to change your Frontier WiFi password but can't find the right setting? The path depends on your router: eero uses its app, while supported Arris and TP-Link routers also have browser settings. Use the matching steps below to set your new password and reconnect your devices.

Change your password in the eero app

Open the eero app. You can also launch it by selecting eero app in MyFrontier. Then go to Settings > Wifi name & password > Wifi network password.

Enter your replacement password. This changes the password across your eero network, so there's no need to repeat it for each eero. Tap Save. Your wireless devices need the new password to reconnect.

Update an Arris password through MyFrontier or a browser

Use MyFrontier or a supported Arris router's settings page to change its Wi-Fi password. On the MyFrontier home screen, open Manage Wi-Fi. Edit your Wi-Fi password there.

For an NVG443B, NVG448B, NVG448BQ, or NVG468MQ, you can instead open https://192.168.254.254 in a browser. Sign in with the username Admin and the password printed on the router label, or your customized router login credentials. Open Wireless > Total Control Wireless.

Replace the Wi-Fi password in its field. Click Apply.

If Total Control Wireless is disabled, open Wireless > Basic Settings 2.4 GHz or Basic Settings 5 GHz instead. Authenticate when prompted.

Replace the password for the selected band. Click Apply, then repeat the band-specific procedure for the other network to change both passwords.

Use these steps for the Archer AXE300 or a compatible TP-Link router.

  1. 1.Connect your device to the router.
  2. 2.Open tplinkwifi.net or 192.168.0.1 in a browser.
  3. 3.Sign in to the router.
  4. 4.Go to Advanced > Wireless > Wireless Settings.
  5. 5.Change Password for the relevant network. With Smart Connect enabled, participating bands share credentials.
  6. 6.Click SAVE.

Prefer using your phone? TP-Link Tether supports password changes on compatible routers, including the Archer AXE300. Button labels vary by model.

Connect your phone to the router's Wi-Fi. Open Tether. Authenticate to the router. Then tap More > Wi-Fi Settings.

Choose the network you want to update. Enter the replacement in Password. Tap Save or Done, depending on your interface.

The Archer AXE300 also offers a browser shortcut. To use it, sign in at http://tplinkwifi.net with your router password or TP-Link ID. Then open Wireless, edit Password, and save the change.

If you cannot complete the change in Tether, try the browser shortcut or the full browser procedure above.

Reconnect devices with the new password

A device still using the old Wi-Fi password needs your new password to reconnect.

Reconnect each wireless device using the replacement password. For Arris networks with separate band passwords, use the password assigned to that particular network.

Your Wi-Fi password, router administrator password, and Frontier account password serve different purposes. The administrator password opens router settings; changing it does not change the Wi-Fi password your devices use.

You don't need a factory reset for an ordinary password change. A hardware factory reset or eero network deletion clears configuration and requires setup again. Resetting only a satellite eero does not change the existing network password.
