Canceling an Adobe subscription gets confusing because the cancel button lives with whoever bills you. A plan bought from Adobe is handled in your Adobe Account, while app-store and reseller purchases stay with that store or seller. Start with the method that matches your billing source, and you can stop the renewal without digging through the wrong account.

Cancel a plan bought directly from Adobe

Go to account.adobe.com/plans and sign in with the Adobe ID tied to the subscription.

In Plans and payment, select Manage plan for the plan you want to stop. If you have more than one active Adobe plan, cancel each plan separately.

Select Cancel your plan. Check the plan details, select Continue to cancel, choose a cancellation reason, then select Continue.

Review the final details and select Confirm cancellation. Check your email confirmation or return to your Adobe Account page to confirm the plan status.

If this method fails, go to Adobe's contact page and use Get started under Cancel your plan or Start now under Contact Us.

Find the missing Cancel button

The most common cause is that Adobe is not the company billing the subscription.

Check where the subscription was purchased. If it came through the App Store, Google Play, Galaxy Store, Microsoft Store, or a reseller, cancel it through that biller because the store or seller manages the subscription.

For a directly billed Adobe plan, go to Adobe's contact page. Select Get started under Cancel your plan, or select Start now under Contact Us.

Select Start to open the Windows Start menu.
Select Start to open the Windows Start menu.

Sign in when prompted, then use Adobe Customer Care chat or phone routing for account and payment help.

Cancel through Apple on iPhone, iPad, Vision Pro, or Mac

Open Settings on your iPhone, iPad, or Vision Pro.

Tap your name.

Tap Subscriptions.

Tap the Adobe subscription.

Tap Cancel Subscription.

On a Mac, open the App Store.

Click your name, or click Sign In.

Click Account Settings.

Click Subscriptions.

Click the Adobe subscription.

Click Cancel Subscription.

Use this same Apple route for App Store purchases such as Adobe Express, Lightroom mobile, Photoshop Express, Acrobat mobile, and other Adobe app subscriptions billed to your Apple Account.

Cancel from Android or Google Play

Use this method when your Adobe subscription is billed through Google Play, including Adobe Express, Acrobat mobile, Lightroom mobile, Photoshop Express, and other Google Play-managed Adobe app subscriptions.

On Android, open your subscriptions in Google Play.

Select the Adobe subscription.

Tap Cancel subscription.

Follow the instructions on screen.

From a computer, open subscriptions in Google Play.

For the Adobe subscription, click Manage.

Click Cancel subscription.

In the confirmation pop-up, select a reason.

Click Continue.

Handle Adobe Stock and Creative Cloud bundles

The most common cause of confusion is that Adobe Stock can be a standalone membership or part of a Creative Cloud bundle.

For a Stock membership managed by Adobe, sign in at account.adobe.com/plans.

Select Manage plan.

Under Manage Plan, select Cancel your plan.

In the confirmation window, select a reason, then select Continue.

On the next screen, choose the cancellation option instead of keeping or changing the plan. Adobe sends an email confirmation after cancellation is completed.

To remove Adobe Stock from a Creative Cloud membership without canceling everything, open Manage plan and select Change your plan.

Select a new plan, then choose Select this plan.

On the confirmation page, choose the storage and billing options, review the terms, and select Agree and subscribe.

Use Acrobat mobile to open the right store

In Acrobat on Android or iOS, tap your profile icon in the top-right corner.

Tap Subscriptions.

Tap Manage subscriptions.

Acrobat opens the subscription management page for the store tied to your purchase. Finish the cancellation in that App Store, Google Play, or Galaxy Store screen.

If this method fails, cancel directly through the App Store, Google Play, or Galaxy Store account used for the purchase.

Cancel through Samsung, Microsoft, or a reseller

For Samsung Galaxy Store purchases, log in to Galaxy Store. Tap Menu, tap Subscriptions, select the Adobe app, then tap Unsubscribe.

For Microsoft Store purchases, go to account.microsoft.com/services and sign in with the Microsoft account used to buy the subscription. Find the Adobe or Microsoft Store subscription, select Manage, then choose Cancel or Upgrade or Cancel and follow the remaining prompts.

If Microsoft shows Turn on recurring billing instead of Manage, the subscription is already set to expire.

For reseller purchases, contact the seller that sold the Adobe membership or team plan. Reseller-managed Adobe Stock memberships, Creative Cloud for teams, VIP Marketplace and legacy VIP purchases, and other seller-billed plans are canceled through the reseller's process.

Match the biller before you cancel

Use the account that charges you, not just the app installed on your device:

  1. 1.

Use account.adobe.com/plans for individual subscriptions and trials purchased directly from Adobe.

  2. 2.

Use Settings or the App Store for Adobe subscriptions billed through Apple.

  3. 3.

Use Google Play subscriptions for Adobe subscriptions billed through Google Play.

  4. 4.

Use Galaxy Store for Adobe subscriptions purchased through Samsung.

  5. 5.

Use account.microsoft.com/services for Adobe subscriptions purchased through Microsoft.

  6. 6.

Contact the reseller for Adobe memberships sold by a reseller or other seller.

Cancel Creative Cloud for teams

Use this method for Creative Cloud for teams plans or licenses purchased directly from Adobe. You need to be a system admin or contract owner.

Sign in to adminconsole.adobe.com.

Select Account.

Scroll to Plans and licenses.

Select Manage for the plan you want to cancel.

Select Cancel Licenses.

Follow the steps on the Cancel licenses screen.

If Cancel Licenses is not visible, open the Support tab and select Start chat to contact Adobe Customer Care.

Uninstalling an Adobe app does not cancel billing. For most individual Adobe plans, there is no separate auto-renewal switch to turn off; cancel the subscription to stop renewal, with Adobe-listed exceptions for individual annual prepaid plans in Brazil and Vermont.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I cancel an Adobe subscription by deleting the app?

No. Deleting or uninstalling an Adobe app does not cancel billing. Cancel through Adobe, Apple, Google Play, Galaxy Store, Microsoft, or the reseller that bills you.

Why does Adobe not show my subscription?

The subscription is usually billed by another store or seller. Check the Apple, Google Play, Galaxy Store, Microsoft, or reseller account used for the purchase.

Can I turn off Adobe auto renewal without canceling?

For most individual Adobe plans, no. Most plans renew automatically until canceled, so canceling is the standard way to stop renewal.

Do I need to cancel every Adobe plan separately?

Yes. In Adobe Account, each active plan must be canceled separately.
