To access your Sky router settings, connect to your Sky Broadband network, open http://192.168.0.1/ in your browser, and log in with admin and your hub model’s admin password. The default password is sky for Sky Hub and Sky Q Hub, while Sky Broadband Hub, Sky Max Hub and Sky Gigafast+ Hub use the WiFi password printed on the hub. These steps apply to those UK Sky hub models.

For Sky Max and Sky Gigafast+, you can also manage settings through the app named My Sky. Sign in only through Sky’s own app or website, and never share a code, password, or remote access with someone who contacts you.

Open your hub settings in a browser

Connect your device to your Sky Broadband network, then enter http://192.168.0.1/ in the browser’s address bar. You can also follow the steps to open the router settings address.

On a Sky Broadband Hub, Sky Hub or Sky Q Hub, select Wireless or WiFi, then enter your login details when prompted. On a Sky Max Hub or Sky Gigafast+ Hub, enter the admin credentials to log in through the browser. Use the password for your model below.

Use the password for your Sky hub model

For a Sky Broadband Hub, enter admin as the username and the WiFi password printed on the back of the hub as the default admin password. If you changed the admin password, enter that changed password instead.

With a Sky Hub or Sky Q Hub, the default username is admin and the default password is sky. Use your changed login details if you previously updated them.

For Sky Max Hub and Sky Gigafast+ Hub, enter admin and the WiFi password printed underneath the hub. If you changed the admin password, use the new admin password instead.

Access WiFi settings in the app

To manage WiFi settings on Sky Max Hub or Sky Gigafast+ Hub, open My Sky. Select Manage > Broadband > Product settings, then select Sky Max Hub or Sky Gigafast+ Hub to match your device.

Find advanced controls for Max and Gigafast+

On Sky Max Hub and Sky Gigafast+ Hub, open My Sky, then tap Manage > Broadband > WiFi Settings > Advanced settings. From there, choose Port forwarding, DMZ, Disable WiFi or WiFi security levels, depending on the control you need.

To change the browser admin password on either model, first log in through the browser and select Troubleshooting > Change password. Complete Old Password, New Password and Repeat New Password, then select Save.

Recover a forgotten admin password

Before resetting anything, check that you are using the credentials for your exact hub model. If you changed the admin password and have forgotten it, follow the reset procedure for your model.

A factory reset resets your Sky Max Hub’s settings. Hold the side WPS button for 30 seconds to factory reset the hub. After recovery, log in with admin and the WiFi password printed underneath it.

A factory reset resets your Sky Gigafast+ Hub’s settings. Hold the rear Reset button until the front light flashes green, then wait for the light to turn white. Log in using admin and the printed default WiFi password underneath the hub.

A factory reset resets custom settings on Sky Broadband Hub, Sky Q Hub and Sky Hub. Hold the rear Reset button for approximately 10 seconds, until the lights blink, then wait for green power, WiFi and internet lights. Switch the hub off and on at the mains, then log in using the default credentials for your model.

Get help if you still cannot access settings

If the applicable login or recovery steps do not restore access, use Sky’s official help for your hub model. For Sky Broadband Hub, Sky Q Hub and Sky Hub, go to Sky’s hub settings help. For Sky Max Hub and Sky Gigafast+ Hub, use Sky’s Max and Gigafast+ settings help.
