What You're Getting

• Dual-band Wi-Fi 6 supports speeds up to 4804 Mbps on 5 GHz and 1148 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. Eight high-gain antennas include beamforming.
• A 2.5G multi-gigabit port supports a faster wired connection, making it a relevant feature for households with multi-gig internet service.
• MU-MIMO and OFDMA help the router handle multiple devices through simultaneous streams and more efficient sharing of network capacity.
• VPN client support lets home devices access remote VPN servers without installing separate software on each device.
• HomeShield includes free basic network security, parental controls, Quality of Service, and weekly or monthly reports. OneMesh support lets you add a compatible range extender to create a single Wi-Fi network.

Who This Is For

The AX80 fits households that want Wi-Fi 6 alongside a multi-gig wired connection, particularly when several devices share the network. Its VPN client also suits buyers who want to manage access to a remote server through the router rather than configure every device individually. For anyone planning to extend coverage with a OneMesh-supported range extender, that compatibility adds another practical reason to choose this model.

Choose the Archer AX80 if its 2.5G port, VPN client, and Wi-Fi 6 support match your networking needs. The $136.99 Amazon offer brings those features below its 90-day average, with a clear $23 reduction from the $159.99 list price.
