NETGEAR 48-Port Gigabit Ethernet Unmanaged Network Switch drops to $249.99 - save $130 off the $379.99 list price.

At $249.99, the current price is down from its list price of $379.99, this switch suits buyers who need a high port count with minimal setup. The practical appeal is the combination of connection capacity, silent operation and a choice of placement options.

What You're Getting

• 48 x 1.0Gbps Ethernet ports. Auto-negotiation detects the optimal speed for connected devices, with support for existing Cat5e or Cat6 cables.
• Plug-and-play setup. There is no software to install and no configuration required, keeping installation simple.
• Desktop or rack-mount placement. The compact metal design gives you flexibility in where you position the switch.
• Fanless operation. The design runs silently, making it suitable for a workspace where equipment noise would be distracting.
• IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet. This reduces power consumption while maintaining high-speed network performance.

Who This Is For

This fits an office or home workspace that needs many wired connections and a straightforward setup process. It also makes sense for buyers who want to use their existing Cat5e or Cat6 cabling, with the option to place the switch on a desktop or in a rack. The fanless design adds appeal when networking equipment shares space with people working nearby.

The Caveat

This model is made for use in the U.S. and Canada only. Keep that regional restriction in mind when choosing it for your installation.
