For just $779.99, down from its list price of $999.99, the StanbyME 2 also sits below its 90-day average of $848.23. That puts the current price $68.24 below that average, a more useful measure of the saving than the list-price comparison alone.

What You're Getting

• The 27-inch QHD display has a 2560 x 1440 resolution. LG's Alpha 8 AI processor adjusts picture and sound according to what you're watching.
• The screen detaches from its stand, and a folio cover is included. An optional strap provides another way to position or hang it.
• Full touchscreen controls support board games, Let's Draw and educational content, giving the display uses beyond watching video.
• WebOS provides access to streaming apps, while LG Channels offers over 400 free channels. TV mirroring displays content from a smartphone, tablet or computer.
• Mood Maker supports artwork, photos and themes such as a clock or weather display, so the screen can serve as a digital photo frame between viewing sessions.

Who This Is For

This suits buyers who want a portable screen for streaming, shared photos and touch-based activities around the home. The detachable design makes particular sense if you expect to switch between watching on the stand and drawing or playing games with the display removed. Buyers focused solely on television viewing have less reason to pay for those extra functions.

Final Verdict

Choose the StanbyME 2 if its detachable touchscreen will get regular use alongside streaming. The $779.99 Amazon offer brings that combination below its 90-day average, with the folio cover included.
