Hyatt WiFi can connect to the network and still fail before the hotel sign-in page finishes. The usual blockers are the captive portal, a stale saved network, a VPN, custom DNS, or a device privacy setting.

Start with the Hyatt guest network before changing advanced settings. At participating Hyatt properties, standard Wi-Fi is available in guest rooms and social spaces, while premium Wi-Fi may be separate where offered.

Meeting room internet can be handled by the hotel or event organizer, so treat conference Wi-Fi as a separate setup when the normal guest network does not apply.

Get the Hyatt sign in page to load

Open your device Wi-Fi list and choose the Hyatt or property guest network. Wait for the hotel sign-up page to appear before opening other apps.

When the page asks for details, enter the requested name or email. Accept the terms when prompted, then select Register & Connect.

If the page offers more than one plan, choose the Free or Standard Wi-Fi option unless you need premium access. A World of Hyatt login or paid upgrade is not required for standard Wi-Fi at Hyatt-branded hotels and resorts.

Reconnect from the main Wi-Fi screen

On iPhone or iPad, open Settings, then tap Wi-Fi. Select the Hyatt network and wait for the login screen. If the login screen does not open, tap the More Info button next to the network name. Tap Join Network, then enter the requested user name, password, or email, or acknowledge the terms and conditions.

On Android, swipe down from the top of the screen, then tap Internet. Select the Hyatt network. If the network is missing, move to another covered area such as the lobby, guest room, or another public space.

Ask the front desk whether the property Wi-Fi is down when the network still does not appear. Use this screen first because it forces the device to look for the hotel portal again.

When the portal keeps looping

A saved network entry holding an old portal session keeps the loop going, so clear that entry and sign in fresh.

On iPhone or iPad, open Settings > Wi-Fi. Tap the More Info button next to the Hyatt network. Tap Forget This Network, then tap Forget. Rejoin the Hyatt network and complete the sign-in page again.

On a Mac, open the Apple menu > System Settings > Wi-Fi > Advanced. Use the More Options button next to the Hyatt network. Choose Remove From List, select Forget, then rejoin.

On Android, open Settings > Network & internet > Internet. Touch and hold the saved Hyatt network. Tap Forget, then connect again from the Wi-Fi list.

On Chromebook, select the bottom-right time, then open Settings > Network > Wi-Fi > Known networks. Find the Hyatt network, open More, and choose Forget. Reconnect and open the browser sign-in prompt when it appears.

Use Windows connection tools

Use this when a Windows laptop sees the Hyatt network but will not connect, shows no internet, or never opens the hotel login page. These paths apply to Windows 11.

Select the taskbar Network, Sound, or Battery area, then open Manage Wi-Fi connections. Choose the Hyatt network and select Connect. Enter a password if requested, then select Next.

If the Hyatt network is not listed, choose Refresh network list. Confirm Wi-Fi is on and Airplane mode is off.

Forget the saved network when Windows keeps reusing a broken setup. Open Settings > Network & internet > Wi-Fi > Manage known networks. Select the Hyatt Wi-Fi network. Choose Forget, then reconnect.

Run the Windows troubleshooter next. Open Get Help, then run the automated Network and Internet troubleshooter.

Turn off VPN proxy or custom DNS settings

Hotel Wi-Fi portals need a direct connection before normal browsing starts. A VPN, proxy, or custom DNS setting can block that first sign-in page.

On iPhone, iPad, or Mac with iCloud+, turn off the per-network privacy setting for the Hyatt Wi-Fi. On iPhone or iPad, open Settings > Wi-Fi. Tap the More Info button next to the Hyatt network, then turn off Limit IP Address Tracking.

On Mac, open the Apple menu > System Settings > Network > Wi-Fi. Open Details next to the connected network, then turn off Limit IP address tracking.

On Android, open Settings > Network & internet > VPN. Tap Settings next to the VPN, then turn off that VPN. If Always-on VPN is enabled, turn Always-on VPN off before reopening the Hyatt portal.

In Chrome on Android, open Chrome > More > Settings > Privacy and security > Use secure DNS. Turn off Use secure DNS or choose another current provider.

On Windows, disconnect the VPN from the taskbar Network, Volume, or Battery area, or open Settings > Network & internet > VPN and disconnect the active VPN. For a proxy, open Settings > Network & Internet > Proxy and turn off manual proxy settings. If this method fails, forget the Hyatt network and rejoin it so the portal gets a fresh attempt without the old connection state.

Fix Apple private address and auto join problems

This fixes Hyatt Wi-Fi that reconnects inconsistently, treats your device like a different device, or stops auto-joining a remembered hotel network.

On iPhone or iPad, open Settings, then tap Wi-Fi. Tap the More Info button next to the Hyatt network. Make sure Auto-Join is on. If you want the Hyatt welcome screen next time, turn off Auto-Login.

For private address issues on iPhone, iPad, or Apple Vision Pro, open Settings > Wi-Fi. Tap Edit if you are not connected. Tap the More Info button next to the Hyatt network, then tap Private Wi-Fi Address.

On iOS 18, iPadOS 18, visionOS 2, or later, choose Off, Fixed, or Rotating. On an earlier OS, turn Private Wi-Fi Address off or on instead.

On Mac, open the Apple menu > System Settings > Wi-Fi. Open Details or the More Info button next to the network. Open Private Wi-Fi Address. Choose Off, Fixed, or Rotating.

This Mac path and these three choices need macOS Sequoia 15 or later, so an older Mac uses a different control.

Try the deeper device reset options

Use these only after the basic reconnect and portal fixes have failed.

  1. 1.On Android, swipe down from the top of the screen, touch and hold Internet, then tap Reset to refresh the current internet connection.
  2. 2.On iPhone or iPad, open Settings > General > Transfer or Reset > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This removes saved Wi-Fi networks and passwords, plus non-profile VPN settings.
  3. 3.On Windows, open Network & internet settings > Wi-Fi > Manage known networks, choose the Hyatt network, open IP assignment > Edit, set Edit IP settings to Automatic (DHCP), and select Save.
  4. 4.On Windows, search for command prompt, choose Run as administrator, select Yes, then run netsh winsock reset, netsh int ip reset, ipconfig /release, ipconfig /renew, and ipconfig /flushdns in that order.
  5. 5.On Windows 11, use Start > Settings > Network & internet > Advanced network settings > Network reset. Network reset removes network adapters and settings, and VPN or virtual-switch software may need to be reinstalled.

Give Hyatt support the details they need

Open the Hyatt Internet Login help page when the portal or connection still fails. Use the listed 24 Hour Support contact for the current hotel. If you cannot reach that page, contact the hotel front desk. Give support the Hotel Name, Hotel Address, Hotel Phone Number, IP Address, MAC Address, Browser, and Operating System when requested.

On a Chromebook, sign in, then select the bottom-right time. Select the Wi-Fi network and open Information. Read the IP address, IPv6 address, and the MAC address labeled Wi-Fi.

Hyatt’s internet support desk assists guests who still cannot connect, so ask them whether the problem is the property’s service or your device.

Work and school devices

Managed phones, laptops, and Chromebooks can block hotel sign-in pages through VPN, device management, proxy, DNS, or captive portal settings.

For a personal iPhone or iPad, open Settings > General > VPN & Device Management. Remove a configuration profile only when it is yours to remove.

If the device belongs to your employer or school, contact your IT team instead of changing management settings. Tell them you are trying to use a Hyatt public Wi-Fi captive portal and that the device can see the network but cannot complete the sign-in.

For a managed Chromebook, this works only when your organization already added the hotel or guest Wi-Fi network in the Admin console, and the administrator needs the Shared device settings privilege.

Your administrator opens Google Admin console > Menu > Devices > Networks, selects the organizational unit if needed, clicks that Wi-Fi network, opens Captive Portal Settings, turns Captive Portal Detection on, optionally checks HTTP web probes only, and selects Save. If the Hyatt network is not one of your organization's configured networks, complete the hotel sign-in page on the device instead.

If this method fails, use your phone’s cellular connection or ask the hotel front desk about another supported internet option for your stay.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need World of Hyatt membership to use Hyatt Wi-Fi?

No. Hyatt offers free standard Wi-Fi at Hyatt-branded hotels and resorts in guest rooms and social spaces. Premium Wi-Fi may be separate where available.

Why does my phone say connected but no internet at Hyatt?

Your device may be connected to the Wi-Fi radio before it has completed the hotel sign-in page. Open the Hyatt network from Wi-Fi settings, accept the terms, and select Register & Connect when prompted.

Why does Hyatt Wi-Fi work in the lobby but not my room?

Coverage depends on the property’s enabled locations and local access points. Try another covered area, then ask the front desk or Hyatt Internet support whether the local service is down.

Should I use old captive portal tricks like third-party APKs or random portal URLs?

No. Use the Hyatt sign-in page, your device’s built-in Wi-Fi controls, and Hyatt Internet support. Apple, Google, Microsoft, and Hyatt provide supported paths for captive portal and network fixes.
