For just $1999.99, below its 30-day average of $2645.95. The 90-day average sits at $2661.53, so this price is a genuine outlier, not a routine fluctuation.

This is the kind of discount that typically appears during Black Friday or Prime Day, not on a random April day.

What You're Getting

The 85QM9K is TCL's latest Mini LED flagship, and it packs serious hardware. Key specs include:

• QD-Mini LED panel with up to LD6000 precise dimming zones for deep blacks and minimal bloom.
• Up to HDR6500 nits peak brightness -- bright enough to handle the most demanding HDR content in any room.
• TCL Halo Control System with a Super High Energy LED Microchip and Bi-direction 23-bit Backlight Controller for halo-free images.
• 144Hz native refresh rate, making it a strong candidate for console and PC gaming.
• Google Gemini AI integration for smarter voice control and contextual search.
• Built-in Presence Sensor that auto-adjusts the TV based on whether you are in the room.
• Dolby Vision IQ and Dolby Atmos audio tuned by Bang and Olufsen.

Who This Is For

This is for anyone shopping in the 85-inch premium tier who wants Mini LED performance without Sony or Samsung pricing. It is a strong fit for home theater buyers who prioritize brightness and local dimming count, and for gamers who want 144Hz VRR support on a massive screen.

If you are on a strict $1500 budget or prefer OLED black levels. This is not your TV. And if you do not need 85 inches, the smaller sizes see fewer discounts this steep.

Final Verdict

Below $2000 with a $645 savings versus its recent average. This is the kind of price that makes you stop second-guessing and pull the trigger. The QM9K delivers flagship brightness, a deep dimming array, and modern gaming features at a price that undercuts the competition by hundreds.

If you are in the market for a large-format Mini LED. This is the deal to act on.
