The Great Northern Popcorn Snow Cub Shaver typically sits around $203 on Amazon, with a 90-day average of $213.75 and a 180-day average of $218.52. This price cut to $146.97 is a genuine outlier, not a routine fluctuation.

If you have been watching this machine for backyard parties or event prep, the window is open now.

What You're Getting

This is a 250W commercial-grade ice shaver with a 1/3 HP motor that spins at 1,420 RPM. It chews through up to 360 pounds of ice per hour -- roughly six pounds per minute. The adjustable stainless steel blades let you dial in fluffy snow cone texture or coarser grains for slow-melting drinks. A safety shield keeps hands away from the blades, and the unit weighs 34 pounds with dimensions of 11.8 x 15.7 x 35.4 inches.

It handles snow cones, slushies, milkshakes, and yogurt freezes.

Who This Is For

Best for anyone hosting summer parties, cookouts, or events who wants real shaved ice volume without renting equipment. The 34-pound build is semi-permanent countertop gear -- not a portable unit you lug to the beach.

Skip this if you only need a snow cone maker for occasional use with one or two kids; a manual or smaller electric unit will save space and money.

Final Verdict

Below its 30-day average by more than $56. This is the price to jump on if summer entertaining is on your calendar. The Snow Cub Shaver does one thing well -- turns block ice into fluffy snow at speed -- and at $146.97 it undercuts its own normal pricing by a wide margin.
