What You're Getting

The Alpha 9 AI Processor Gen8 drives personalized picture and audio through AI Super Upscaling that enhances everything from sports to streaming. Perfect Black and Perfect Color technology spans over 8.3 million self-lit pixels for contrast that holds up even in bright rooms.

Gamers get a 0.1ms response time, up to 144Hz refresh rate, NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium support, plus four HDMI 2.1 inputs. Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, and Filmmaker Mode round out the home theater package.

Who This Is For

Best for buyers who want OLED picture quality and gaming performance in a 48-inch size without paying the premium for larger screens. The C5 series targets the sweet spot between LG's entry-level B-series and the flagship G-series, making it ideal for mixed-use setups where movies, console gaming, and daily TV all matter.

Skip it if you need a 65-inch or larger display for a dedicated home theater room.

Final Verdict

The Alpha 9 Gen8 processor and 144Hz gaming support make this $899.99 price point tough to beat for a 2025 OLED with full HDMI 2.1 support. If you want LG's latest evo panel tech at a size that fits a bedroom or apartment setup. This is the buy to lock in now.
