What You're Getting

The FTR18-4080HDX is a pro-audio 18-inch subwoofer rated for 1,000 watts RMS power handling with a frequency response from 30 Hz to 2500 Hz. It uses a 4-inch high-temperature inside/outside voice coil designed to dissipate heat efficiently and prevent sensitivity loss from thermal compression. A double suspension system with a multi-roll surround maintains linearity even at extreme cone excursion, making it suitable for high-SPL applications.

Who This Is For

This is for live sound engineers, installation contractors, and DIY speaker builders who need a reliable 18-inch driver for subwoofer enclosures. It fits PA systems, church audio, club installs, and custom ported or sealed designs.

Skip this if you need a powered subwoofer or a home theater driver with lower power handling requirements.

Final Verdict

The FTR18-4080HDX delivers pro-grade build quality and thermal performance at a price that undercuts its recent averages. If you need a 600-watt (1,000-watt peak) 18-inch driver for a build or repair. This is the price to grab it.
