For just $692, below its 30-day average of $778.05. Over the past 90 days, this camera has averaged $777.51, making today's price a clear step down from recent pricing trends. The discount puts the R100 at its most attractive point since earlier this year.

What You're Getting

The Canon EOS R100 features a 24.1-megapixel APS-C sensor paired with Canon's DIGIC 8 processor. You're getting Dual Pixel CMOS autofocus covering 143 zones with subject detection and Eye Detection AF. The camera captures up to 6.5 frames per second in continuous shooting mode. As the smallest and lightest body in the EOS R series, it's built for portability without sacrificing core mirrorless capabilities.

Who This Is For

Best for: First-time mirrorless buyers and photographers upgrading from smartphones or older entry-level cameras. This camera works well for travel photography, casual family shooting, and learning photography fundamentals.

Skip this if you need advanced video features or professional-grade autofocus tracking.

The Caveat

The R100 lacks some features found in higher-end mirrorless cameras, including in-body stabilization and advanced video recording options. Its autofocus system, while capable, doesn't match the sophistication of Canon's more expensive R-series models.

Final Verdict

At $692 with two lenses included, the EOS R100 delivers solid value for beginners entering the mirrorless ecosystem. If you've been waiting to upgrade from a smartphone or older DSLR, this price makes the jump more reasonable.

Consider waiting only if you need more advanced video capabilities or can stretch your budget to higher-tier models.
