Team17 and Beehive Studios are bringing the monster-collecting RPG LumenTale: Memories of Trey to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2026, expanding the game beyond its initial platforms. The console release follows the game's arrival on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam on May 26.
The story follows Trey, who wakes up in the world of Talea with no memories and sets out to uncover the truth about his past. Players collect over 140 types of Animon through captures and turn-based battles, with each creature carrying an elemental affinity and one of five emotional attributes that influence combat.
Battles span both PvE and PvP, from one-on-one showdowns to four-versus-four matches. Outside of fighting, players can use the Anispace to train their Animon and bond with them, while crafting or purchasing furniture to customize the space.
Strengthening relationships with creatures boosts their battle effectiveness.
Cooking and crafting systems use recipes and resources gathered across Talea, and Art Cards can raise the odds of encountering specific Animon or rarer Lost variants. Cards can be traded locally or online through the Animon Trade Station.
LumenTale: Memories of Trey is an Italian-developed "Pokémon-like" produced by Beehive Studios and published by Team17. No details have emerged about content or performance differences between the PS5/Xbox Series versions and the builds already available since May 2026.
