Death Stranding 2: On the Beach arrives on PC March 19, 2026, with pre-purchases now available on Steam and Epic Games Store. Kojima Productions confirmed the Windows port during Sony's February State of Play event, bringing Hideo Kojima's sequel to PC nearly nine months after its PlayStation 5 debut.

The PC version launches with platform-specific enhancements developed in collaboration with Nixxes Software. Players gain unlocked framerates, ultra-widescreen support for 21:9 and 32:9 aspect ratios, and upscaling options from NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel.

The port includes 3D Audio via Dolby Access and full DualSense controller integration with haptic feedback.

New modes and features will debut simultaneously on both PC and PS5 versions at launch. Kojima Productions head of publishing Jay Boor stated these additions will "offer players new challenges and rewards." More details about the additional content will arrive in March, following the pattern of the first game's Director's Cut update.

Death Stranding 2 originally launched June 26, 2025 as a PlayStation 5 exclusive. The sequel received seven nominations at The Game Awards 2025 and was regarded as one of the standout releases of that year. Like its predecessor, which eventually reached PC and Xbox platforms including a recent addition to Xbox Game Pass, the sequel follows a similar multi-platform trajectory.

The standalone sequel continues Sam Porter Bridges' journey across Australia as he connects isolated survivors to the Chiral network. Players face natural disasters including earthquakes, sandstorms, and forest fires while navigating the ruinous Timefall.

Sam gains new tools, weapons, and vehicles alongside companions from the DRAWBRIDGE organization.

Pre-purchases are available now for $69.99 on both Steam and Epic Games Store, with a Digital Deluxe Edition priced at $79.99. The PC version supports complete mouse and keyboard customization alongside controller options. Kojima Productions continues developing multiple projects including Physint for PlayStation and OD for Xbox, alongside three Death Stranding screen adaptations currently in production.
