Grave Seasons combines cozy farming mechanics with horror elements in a narrative-driven experience where players investigate murders while tending crops and building relationships in the unsettling town of Ashenridge. The game debuted its Switch trailer during Nintendo's March 2026 Indie World showcase, confirming a summer 2026 release across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. Publisher Blumhouse Games and developer Perfect Garbage announced the multi-platform launch following the presentation.

Grave Seasons places players as a character who has escaped from jail seeking a fresh start in Ashenridge. While establishing a farming life and embedding themselves in the neighborhood, murders begin occurring throughout the town.

The narrative farming sim features standard agricultural activities like planting crops, fishing, mining, and romance options alongside investigation mechanics involving tools like crowbars for breaking into locked areas.

IGN's preview from Summer Game Fest 2025 described finding severed hands and bloodied rings while exploring the property during early gameplay. Characters react with shock to these discoveries, establishing the game's dark comedic tone that blends horror with traditional farming sim charm.

Blumhouse Games brings its horror film pedigree to the project, having produced franchises like Paranormal Activity, Sinister, and The Purge. This marks one of their most ambitious gaming projects to date, merging two seemingly incompatible genres into what developers describe as a first-of-its-kind hybrid of horror and cozy farming sims.

The Switch version announcement came as part of Nintendo's 15-minute Indie World presentation earlier this week, which spotlighted upcoming titles for both Switch and Switch 2 consoles. Grave Seasons joins other indie highlights including Outbound (April 23), Ratatan (July 16), and Unrailed 2: Back on Track (May 2026) in the showcase lineup.

Perfect Garbage's supernatural murder-mystery farming simulator promises to inject something sinister into the farming sim genre according to early previews. Players will harvest crops, fish, mine resources, meet and romance townsfolk while simultaneously investigating a supernatural serial killer operating within their new community.

Grave Seasons launches on all major platforms this summer.
