Capturing what's on your Moto G Stylus 5G's screen is a breeze, and you have a few different ways to do it. Whether you're saving a recipe, sharing a funny text, or documenting an error, one of these methods will get the job done.

Press the Power and Volume Down Buttons

The classic button combo is the most reliable method. Simply press the Power button and the Volume Down button at the exact same time. Hold them for a brief moment and then release. You'll see a quick flash on the screen, hear a shutter sound, and a small preview will pop up in the corner.

You can tap that preview to edit or share the screenshot right away. If you ignore it, the image will save automatically to your Photos app.

Use the Three-Finger Swipe Gesture

This is a favorite Motorola feature that feels intuitive. Place three fingers anywhere on the screen and swipe down in one smooth motion. The screen will flash and capture instantly. I find this method is perfect when you're using the phone one-handed or if the button combo feels awkward.

Make sure this gesture is enabled by going to Settings > Moto > Gestures and toggling on Three-finger screenshot.

Take a Screenshot from the Recent Apps Menu

If you use gesture navigation, swipe up from the bottom and hold to enter the recent apps overview. You'll see all your open apps. Look for a Screenshot button at the bottom of the screen, below the app cards.

Tapping this will capture the app that's currently selected. It's a clean way to screenshot without covering any part of the screen with your fingers.

Ask Google Assistant for Help

When your hands are full, just use your voice. Say, "Hey Google, take a screenshot." Your phone will capture the screen immediately. You can also activate Google Assistant by holding the power button or swiping from a corner, then type the command.

The screenshot saves directly to your gallery, just like the other methods. This is incredibly handy when you're cooking or have dirty hands.

Capture Scrolling Content

Need to save a long webpage or an entire text conversation? Take a regular screenshot first using any method. When the preview appears in the corner, look for a button that says Capture more or Scroll.

Tap it, and the phone will automatically extend the screenshot downward. You can usually tap it multiple times to capture as much as you need, stitching it all into one tall image.

Edit with Your Stylus

One of the best parts of having the built-in stylus is quick, precise edits. After taking a screenshot, tap the preview to open the editor. Pull out the stylus from its silo on the phone's side to highlight, circle important details, or write notes directly on the image.

The fine tip gives you much more control than your finger. Just remember to store the stylus back in its slot when you're done to keep it charged.

Find and Manage Your Screenshots

All your screenshots are automatically saved. Open the Google Photos app and navigate to Library > Screenshots. They'll all be organized there by date.

You can also find the image files directly in your device storage. Use a file manager app and go to Internal storage > Pictures > Screenshots. From there, you can move, copy, or delete them as needed.
