Taking a screenshot on your Motorola Moto G Power (2025) is a simple task you'll find yourself doing all the time. Whether you're saving a confirmation number, capturing a funny text, or showing someone an error message, there are a few reliable ways to do it.
Press the Power and Volume Down Buttons
The classic method works perfectly on your Moto G Power. Just press the Power button and the Volume Down button at the exact same time. Hold them for a split second and then let go.
You'll see a quick flash on the screen, hear a camera shutter sound, and a small preview will pop up in the corner. That's your confirmation the screenshot was taken and saved.
Use the Quick Settings Tile
This is a great option if you find the button combo tricky. Swipe down from the top of your screen twice to open the full Quick Settings panel. Look for a tile that says Screenshot.
If you don't see it, tap the pencil icon to edit your tiles. You can then drag the Screenshot tile into your active panel. Once it's there, a single tap will capture whatever is on your display.
Ask Google Assistant
When your hands are busy, just use your voice. Say "Hey Google, take a screenshot". Your phone will capture the screen instantly without you touching a button.
You can also activate Google Assistant by holding the power button or swiping from a corner, then type or say the command. The screenshot will save directly to your Photos app.
Take a Scrolling Screenshot
Need to capture an entire long webpage or conversation? Take a regular screenshot first using one of the methods above. Immediately after, look at the preview that appears at the bottom of your screen.
You should see an option labeled Capture more or Scroll. Tap it, and your phone will automatically extend the screenshot downward. You can often tap it multiple times to keep scrolling and capturing until you have one long image.
Edit and Share Right Away
That little preview thumbnail is your gateway to quick edits. Tap on it before it disappears to open the markup tools. You can crop the image, draw on it, add text, or blur sensitive information.
From the same editor, tap the share icon to send the screenshot directly through messages, email, or social media. It's a very fast workflow for when you need to show someone something specific.
Find Your Saved Screenshots
If you dismiss the preview, don't worry. All your screenshots are saved automatically. The easiest place to find them is in the Google Photos app. Go to the Library tab and select the Screenshots album.
You can also use the Files by Google app or any file manager. Navigate to Internal storage > Pictures > Screenshots. Given the phone's 128GB base storage, I'd recommend clearing out old screenshots every so often to free up space, or using the SD card slot to offload them.
If Screenshots Aren't Working
First, try the simple fix. Restart your phone by pressing and holding the Power button for about 10 seconds until the Motorola logo appears. This clears up minor software glitches that can sometimes interfere.
Also, check your storage. If your internal storage is completely full, the phone may not be able to save new images. Head to Settings > Storage to see how much space you have left and clear some out if needed.
