Call of Duty's console and PC games ask for an Activision account before you can play online, while Call of Duty: Mobile lets you play as a Guest and link an account later. You can create one in your phone, tablet, or computer browser without installing a game or owning a console account. Start with browser signup below, or use a supported game's registration screen.

Create your account in a browser

Open Activision's signup page to reach the registration wizard.

Enter your email address in Email and Retype Email.

Choose your marketing-email preference.

Select Next.

Fill in Activision ID, First name, and Last name.

Select Next.

Create and confirm your password in New Password and Retype Password.

Accept the checkbox covering Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

Select Next.

Complete any security challenge presented.

If the direct signup route fails, try Sign Up on activision.com to open the browser registration flow.

Sign in with a linked PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, or Battle.net account

After you link a platform account, you can use it to sign in to your Activision account.

Open the Call of Duty account login page.

Select your PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, or Battle.net (Blizzard) platform icon under Or - Sign in using:.

Sign in on the provider's website to reach the Activision account that platform is linked to.

If you don't have an Activision account yet, create one with browser signup or a supported game's registration screen, then link your platform as described below.

Register when you first launch Call of Duty

Launch Black Ops 7 or current Warzone. Supported editions of Black Ops 6, Modern Warfare III, Modern Warfare II (2022), Vanguard, Black Ops Cold War, and Modern Warfare (2019) also offer in-game registration. Warzone access on PS4 and Xbox One is limited to existing library owners through the end of Black Ops 7 Season 06.

Choose registration at the game's first online signup or login prompt. Warzone Mobile and Warzone Caldera have closed their online services; use browser signup or a supported game for account creation.

Enter your Display Name on the Account Creation screen.

Provide an email address you can access.

Set your account password.

Choose your region.

Select your marketing-email preference.

Accept the account terms and privacy policy. Registration finishes at Account Summary, which displays your Activision ID.

On PC, Warzone requires a verified text-enabled phone number (SMS two-factor authentication) if you don't own a Call of Duty title released within the last two years on that PC platform. In-game registration asks for the number in the account details. If you created your account on an Activision website, you'll verify the number the first time you launch Warzone unless you enabled SMS 2FA during registration.

Keep access to your registered email address for verification and account operations.

After signup, verify your email

Complete email verification when Activision requires it for account operations or access. Two-factor authentication is mandatory for accounts created after August 18, 2026, which are enrolled in email 2FA by default. Activision also automatically enrolls accounts in email 2FA when they verify their email.

Open callofduty.com/verify-email.

Sign into your Activision account.

Confirm that you can access the displayed email address.

Select Send Verification Email.

Open the verification link delivered to your inbox.

If the message has not arrived, check your spam folder.

If it is still missing, select Resend Link.

Connect the account to Call of Duty Mobile

Browser signup alone leaves your new Activision account unlinked to your Call of Duty: Mobile profile.

Open Call of Duty: Mobile.

Tap the Settings gear.

For a Guest account, tap Link in the upper-right corner. For an existing social login, tap the upper-right button showing that linked social account instead.

Choose Call of Duty.

Enter your Activision email and password in the browser that opens. Check that you are using the account you want to keep: Activision states that an account linked to Call of Duty: Mobile cannot be unlinked.

Tap Login Now.

After the game relaunches, use the Call of Duty icon on its login screen.

Try another website entry point

Activision's websites offer several entrances to the same registration flow. You only need to complete signup once.

On activision.com, select Sign Up to open the browser wizard.

On the Call of Duty: Mobile website, select Sign Up to reach that same wizard. This creates the shared Activision account used by Call of Duty.

For support access, open Activision Support Options while signed out.

Select CREATE AN ACCOUNT under the account-access prompt.

If one of these entry points fails, open Activision's signup page directly and complete the email, identity, password, and agreement stages described above.

After browser signup, link Xbox, including Game Pass and Microsoft Store, PlayStation, Steam, Blizzard, Nintendo, or Ubisoft.

  1. 1.Sign into the desired platform account and your Activision account in the same browser.
  2. 2.Open LINKED ACCOUNTS.
  3. 3.Select Link Account beside the provider.
  4. 4.Select SEND CODE to receive an email code.
  5. 5.Enter the emailed code in Verification Code, then select CONTINUE.
  6. 6.Finish authentication on the provider's website.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use Nintendo or Ubisoft credentials to register?

Activision's current support pages document platform sign-in only for accounts that are already linked, not new-account registration with any platform's credentials. Nintendo and Ubisoft are supported for account linking; create your Activision account through browser signup before linking either one.

When did Warzone Mobile and Warzone Caldera close?

Warzone Mobile's servers closed on April 17, 2026. Warzone Caldera's gameplay and online services closed on September 21, 2023.

Can a minor create an Activision account?

Activision's Terms of Use specify age requirements and parental or guardian involvement for minors. Review those requirements before registering.

Should I create a new account if my existing Activision account was hacked?

Start at https://support.activision.com/account-recovery and select MY ACCOUNT WAS HACKED. If you cannot sign in, follow the recovery branch to CREATE A TEMPORARY ACCOUNT using an accessible, verifiable email address. At CONNECTED ACCOUNTS, connect an Xbox, PlayStation, Steam, Battle.net, or Ubisoft account previously linked to the hacked account. Return to recovery and select VERIFY TO CONTINUE. The temporary account becomes inaccessible after recovery, and its progress and purchases cannot transfer.
