Strands hides themed words inside a 6x8 letter grid. Your mission: find every word connected to the day's theme. Letters link in any direction (horizontal, vertical, diagonal) and words can twist and turn. Every letter gets used exactly once.
The spangram is the key word or phrase that captures the theme and stretches across the entire board, touching opposite edges.

What It Really Means
The prompt is about the moment a name refuses to surface, so the hunt is for the casual stand-in nouns people reach for when they cannot produce the real label. Every answer is the sort of vague, all-purpose word you use while pointing at an object and hoping the other person nods.
None of these are technical terms. They are spoken, slightly comic placeholders, most of them built from nonsense syllables that sound improvised on the spot.

- The vocabulary of a cluttered junk drawer, where nothing has a proper name anymore.
- Hardware store improvisation, when you hold up a broken part and describe it with sound effects.
- Sing-song coinages with three or four bouncy syllables that sound invented because they were.

Progressive Spangram Hints
Hint 1 (Gentle): The connecting answer is a whole fumbling question about an object's name, mashed together and spoken as a single noun. It is what you say when the word is right on the tip of your tongue and refuses to come.
Hint 2 (Warmer): It is the longest and most exasperated member of the family, a run-together mouthful that also lends its name to a chocolate and caramel candy bar. In the grid it earns its length, cutting diagonally down and then wrapping the bottom row so it reaches both the left and right edges.

Difficulty Rating: Medium. The category clicks quickly because these are everyday spoken words, but their spellings are loose and the board is stacked with repeated Gs and Is, so tracing exact letter runs takes a careful second pass.
Trickiest Word: THINGAMAJIGGY is the stall point. The familiar form of the word ends on a hard G, so anyone tracing that shape stops two letters early and misses the extra G and Y this grid demands, and the path doubles back through the cluster of Gs sitting side by side in the lower rows.
Our Take: Every answer here is a shrug promoted to vocabulary, and WHATCHAMACALLIT is the loudest shrug of the bunch, slicing diagonally across the board before wrapping the bottom row from edge to edge.
