Here’s how to change Your Netflix Billing Date.

Important Things to Know First

Before you make any changes, keep these points in mind:

  • You'll need to pay for any gap between your current billing date and the new date immediately
  • The "Change billing day" option isn't available in all countries or for all account types
  • You can't change your billing date on the actual billing day itself
  • If your billing day falls on a non-repetitive date like the 31st, Netflix will charge you on the last day of each month

Change Billing Date on Web Browser

Follow these steps to adjust your billing date using Netflix's website:

  1. 1.Go to Netflix.com in your web browser and sign in
  2. 2.Click your profile icon in the top-right corner
  3. 3.Select "Account" from the dropdown menu
  4. 4.In the "Membership & billing" section, click "Change billing day"
  5. 5.You'll see your current billing date - select a new date from the calendar
  6. 6.Review the changes and click "Review & Confirm"

Change Billing Date Using the Netflix App

You can also adjust your billing date through the Netflix mobile app:

  1. 1.Open the Netflix app on your Android or iOS device
  2. 2.Tap the "More" tab in the bottom-right corner
  3. 3.Select "Account" - this will open Netflix in your device's browser
  4. 4.Tap "Change billing day" in the "Membership & billing" section
  5. 5.Choose your preferred new billing date
  6. 6.Tap "Review & Confirm" to save your changes

Alternative Methods

If the "Change billing day" option isn't available in your account, you have a couple of workarounds:

Change your plan: Switching between Netflix plans can sometimes shift your billing cycle slightly. This works best if you're planning to upgrade or downgrade anyway.

Cancel and resubscribe: You can cancel your subscription and then resubscribe on your preferred date. Your account will remain active until the end of your current billing period, then you can restart on your chosen date.

Both methods give you control over when your billing cycle begins, though they involve more steps than the direct billing date change option.
