For just $1219.97, below its 30-day average of $1421.21. Over the past three months, this TV has averaged around $1391, making today's price a clear step down from recent levels. The discount puts it $170 below its 180-day average, offering genuine savings for buyers who've been tracking this model.

What You're Getting

The LG QNED 85 65-inch 4K TV combines quantum dot color with mini-LED backlighting for enhanced brightness and contrast. Its α7 Gen5 AI Processor 4K adapts picture and sound quality algorithmically for a more lifelike viewing experience.

You get 120Hz refresh rate support, Dolby Vision IQ, Dolby Atmos audio, and WiSA-ready wireless speaker compatibility. The TV includes Filmmaker Mode to preserve director intent and supports cloud gaming services.

Alexa is built directly into the TV for voice control without additional hardware.

Who This Is For

Best for viewers who want premium picture quality without OLED's burn-in concerns. The QNED 85 delivers excellent brightness for well-lit rooms and strong HDR performance.

It's a smart choice for mixed usage including movies, sports, and gaming. Skip this if you prioritize absolute black levels over peak brightness or if you can wait for deeper holiday season discounts.

The Caveat

This is a 2022 model, so you're not getting LG's latest processor or webOS updates. The TV stand is sold separately, adding to the total cost if you're not wall-mounting. While the mini-LED backlight improves contrast over standard LED TVs, it doesn't match OLED's per-pixel dimming capability.

Final Verdict

At $1219.97, the LG QNED 85 65-inch offers compelling value for buyers seeking bright, colorful 4K performance. The $201 savings versus its 30-day average makes this a worthwhile purchase for anyone upgrading their living room TV this season.

Move now if you need a premium TV for spring entertainment, but consider waiting for Memorial Day sales if you can hold out for potentially deeper cuts.
