Taking a screenshot on your Samsung Galaxy S25+ is a fundamental skill you'll use all the time. Whether you're saving a confirmation email, capturing a funny meme, or documenting a bug, there are several quick ways to do it. The S25+ with One UI 7 offers both classic methods and some clever new tricks.

Press the Button Combo

The universal method is to press the Side button and the Volume Down button together for a moment. You'll feel a haptic vibration, see a quick flash, and hear a shutter sound (if your phone isn't on silent). A small toolbar will pop up at the bottom of your screen right after.

This method works from any screen, including the lock screen, and is the most reliable fallback. I'd start with this one if you're new to the phone.

Swipe with Your Palm

This gesture is a classic Samsung feature that's perfect for one-handed use. First, you need to turn it on. Go to Settings > Advanced features > Motions and gestures and toggle on Palm swipe to capture.

Once enabled, simply place the side of your hand vertically against the screen and swipe across from left to right or right to left. It takes a little practice, but it's very intuitive once you get the motion down.

Tap the Quick Panel Tile

Swipe down twice from the top of your screen to open your full Quick Settings panel. Look for a tile labeled Screenshot. If you don't see it, tap the pencil icon to edit your tiles and add it from the list.

Tapping this tile instantly captures whatever is on your display. This is a great option if you find the button combo awkward or if your physical buttons aren't responding perfectly.

Use a Voice Command

When your hands are full, just use your voice. Say "Hey Google, take a screenshot" or "Hi Bixby, take a screenshot". Your chosen assistant will capture the screen immediately and save it to your Gallery.

Make sure your preferred voice assistant is set up and listening for the wake word. This method won't work from a completely locked screen for security reasons.

Capture a Scrolling Screenshot

This is one of the most useful features for capturing long content. Take a normal screenshot using any method, and when the preview toolbar appears at the bottom, tap the icon with two downward arrows.

The phone will automatically scroll down and stitch the next section onto your screenshot. You can keep tapping the scroll capture button to extend the image as far down the page as you need.

Edit and Annotate Immediately

Right after taking a screenshot, the preview toolbar gives you instant editing options. You can tap to draw on the image with different pen styles, crop it, or share it directly to an app.

If you want to add text or stickers, tap the pen icon for more advanced markup tools. Dismissing the toolbar simply saves the screenshot to your Gallery for later.

Configure Your Screenshot Settings

You can customize how screenshots behave in Settings > Advanced features > Screenshots and screen recorder. Here, you can change the image format to save storage space or set a shortcut to launch the screen recorder.

You can also enable an option to show a floating toolbar for even quicker access to editing tools after every capture. If the shutter sound is annoying, just switch your phone to vibrate or silent mode.

Find Your Saved Screenshots

All your screenshots are automatically saved in the Gallery app. Open Gallery and look for the Screenshots album. You can also find them in your device's File Manager under Internal storage > Pictures > Screenshots.

From the Gallery, you can organize them into different albums, share them in bulk, or delete the ones you no longer need to free up space.
