For just $329, below its 30-day average of $350.80. While this isn't a record low for the camera, it's a meaningful reduction from what shoppers have been paying recently. The price sits comfortably under the 30-day average, offering better value than typical pricing.

What You're Getting

The Minolta Pro Shot centers around its 53x optical zoom lens, which provides substantial reach for distant subjects without requiring interchangeable lenses. The 16MP CMOS sensor captures 1080p Full HD video and still images with optical image stabilization to reduce shake. A 3-inch LCD screen handles framing and playback, while features like HDR, panorama mode, and face detection add versatility. The package includes a 16GB memory card, battery, and all necessary accessories.

Who This Is For

Best for: Travel photographers, wildlife enthusiasts, and anyone needing long zoom in a compact form. This camera suits users who want DSLR-like reach without the complexity or bulk of interchangeable lens systems.

The Caveat

The 53x zoom comes with some trade-offs typical of superzoom cameras. Image quality at maximum zoom won't match what you'd get from a dedicated telephoto lens on a larger sensor camera.

Low-light performance is adequate but not exceptional.

Final Verdict

For $329, the Minolta Pro Shot delivers serious optical reach at a reasonable price point. If you need a capable travel camera with extensive zoom range and don't want to invest in multiple lenses, this discount makes it more appealing.

Wait if you can hold out for deeper holiday season discounts, but the current price offers fair value for the feature set.
