For just $356.73, below its 30-day average of $407.32. The 90-day average sits at $481.18 and the 180-day average at $451.57, so this price is genuinely uncommon for these speakers.

It's the kind of discount that usually takes a holiday event or a warehouse overflow to match.

What You're Getting

The R-40SA is a purpose-built Dolby Atmos elevation speaker pair designed to bounce sound off your ceiling for overhead effects without cutting holes in drywall. Key specs include:

- 90x90 Tractrix horn for clean, directional high-frequency response

- 1-inch Linear Travel Suspension aluminum tweeter with Kapton suspension for low distortion

- 4-inch Spun-Copper Thermoformed Crystalline Polymer woofers borrowed from the Reference Premiere line

- Low-profile magnetic grilles and hidden fasteners for a clean look

- MDF cabinet with scratch-resistant wood grain vinyl

Who This Is For

This is for anyone building a dedicated home theater who wants proper Atmos height channels without ceiling-mounting speakers. The R-40SA pairs naturally with Klipsch Reference tower speakers or works as surround speakers in a 5.1.2 or 5.1.4 setup.

Skip this if your room has vaulted or textured ceilings where reflected sound won't work well.

Final Verdict

At $356.73, you're paying less than the recent average for a speaker pair that delivers genuine Atmos height effects from a compact footprint. For under $360. This is a smart entry point into object-based surround sound without the installation hassle.
