For just $499.99, below its 30-day average of $740.90. Over the past 90 days, this drive has averaged $556.96, making today's price a clear improvement. The 180-day average sits at $436.85, but that includes older pricing data from late last year.

What You're Getting

The Kingston XS2000 delivers industry-leading read/write speeds up to 2,000MB/s when connected to compatible USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 devices. With 4TB of capacity, it can handle high-resolution images, 8K video files, and extensive document libraries.

Its pocket-sized design makes it easy to transport while maintaining professional-grade performance.

Who This Is For

Best for photographers, videographers, and creative professionals who need fast external storage for large media projects. This drive makes sense if you're regularly transferring 4K or 8K footage between workstations or need reliable backup for extensive photo libraries.

Wait if you don't require the maximum 2,000MB/s speeds or can make do with smaller capacity drives.

The Caveat

To achieve the advertised 2,000MB/s speeds, you need compatible hardware with USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 support. Most standard USB-C ports won't reach these maximum transfer rates. The drive also represents a premium investment compared to slower portable hard drives.

Final Verdict

At $499.99, this Kingston XS2000 offers serious performance for professionals who need fast, high-capacity portable storage. The 33% discount makes it more accessible than usual, especially considering its recent pricing history.

If you're working with large media files and have compatible hardware, this price warrants immediate consideration.
