For just $1789.95, below its 30-day average of $1984.07. This price sits $266.29 under its 90-day average and $251.65 below the 180-day trend, representing one of the better discounts we've seen on this configuration since its introduction.

What You're Getting

The Alienware X16 R2 packs a 16-inch QHD+ display running at 240Hz with 3ms response time, delivering smooth visuals for competitive gaming. Under the hood. You get Intel's Core Ultra 7-155H processor with 16 cores and 24MB cache, paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPU featuring 8GB GDDR6 memory. The system includes 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 1TB SSD for storage. Dell's thermal design increases airflow through side vents while drawing cooler air across the keyboard, and the package includes one year of onsite service for hardware support.

Who This Is For

Best for gamers who prioritize display quality and refresh rate over raw GPU power. The 240Hz QHD+ panel makes this ideal for competitive titles where smooth motion matters, while the RTX 4070 handles modern games at respectable settings.

Mobile professionals who game on the side will appreciate the balance of performance and portability. Skip this if you need maximum graphics performance for 4K gaming or if you can wait for next-generation hardware later this year.

The Caveat

The 16GB of RAM is soldered and not upgradeable, which may limit future-proofing for memory-intensive tasks. While the RTX 4070 performs well at QHD, it's not the most powerful mobile GPU available in this price range.

Final Verdict

For gamers who value display quality above all else, this $1789.95 price makes the X16 R2 a smart buy. The 240Hz QHD+ panel combined with solid mid-range performance delivers excellent value for competitive gaming.

If you need a high-refresh laptop now and can live with the RAM limitation, this discount warrants immediate consideration.
