Seeing a "SIM Not Provisioned" message on your OnePlus 13 Pro is a real roadblock, stopping you from making calls or using mobile data right when you need to. This error means your phone can't properly connect your SIM card to your carrier's network, but it's usually something you can fix yourself.

Let's jump straight into the most common fix. A simple restart of your phone can clear out temporary software glitches that might be causing the problem. Just press and hold the power button, tap restart, and see if that gets you back online.

Check Your SIM Card Activation and Account

If you just got a new SIM card or switched to a new plan, it might not be activated yet. The first thing I'd do is contact your carrier directly. They can check their system to see if your SIM is properly registered and activated on their network.

For prepaid users, a low or empty account balance is a very common cause. Log into your carrier's app or website to check your balance, or give them a quick call from another phone. Sometimes service is suspended until a payment is processed.

Refresh Your Network Connection

Your OnePlus 13 Pro might just need a nudge to reconnect. Swipe down from the top of the screen twice to open the full Quick Settings panel, then tap the Airplane Mode icon to turn it on. Wait about 15 seconds, then tap it again to turn it off.

This forces your phone to drop its current network connection and search for a fresh one, which can resolve temporary provisioning errors. You should see the network bars disappear and then reappear.

Reinsert and Inspect the SIM Card

It's worth taking a minute to physically check the SIM. First, power off your OnePlus 13 Pro completely. Use the SIM ejector tool that came in the box (or a small paperclip) to pop open the SIM tray on the bottom edge of the phone.

Carefully remove the SIM card and look at the gold contacts. If you see any dust, lint, or visible scratches, gently wipe the contacts with a soft, dry cloth. Blow any dust out of the SIM tray slot, then firmly reseat the card and push the tray back in until it clicks. Power your phone back on.

Update Your Phone and Carrier Services

Running outdated software can sometimes lead to network issues. Go to Settings > About device > OxygenOS version to check for a system update. Install any available updates, as they often contain important connectivity fixes.

Next, open the Google Play Store, tap your profile icon, and go to Manage apps & device. Under "Updates available," look for an app called "Carrier Services" and update it. This app helps manage communication between your phone and your carrier's network.

Manually Select Your Network Operator

Sometimes the automatic network selection gets stuck. You can manually pick your carrier to force a proper connection. On your OnePlus 13 Pro, go to Settings > Mobile network.

Tap on Network operators. Your phone will search for available networks. Once the list populates, select your specific carrier's name from the options. Don't choose one that says "Forbidden," as that means your SIM isn't allowed on that network.

Reset Your Network Settings

If you're still seeing the error, resetting network settings is a strong next step. This will erase all saved Wi-Fi networks, Bluetooth pairings, and cellular settings, but it won't touch your personal data like photos or messages.

To do this, navigate to Settings > System > Reset options. Tap on Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth and confirm. Your phone will reboot, and you'll need to reconnect to Wi-Fi and re-pair Bluetooth devices, but it often clears persistent SIM errors.

Test the SIM in Another Device

This is a great way to figure out where the problem actually lies. If you have access to another unlocked phone, power it off and insert your OnePlus 13 Pro's SIM card. Turn that phone on.

If the SIM works perfectly in the other phone, then the issue is likely with your OnePlus 13 Pro's software or settings. If the "SIM Not Provisioned" error appears on the second phone as well, then the problem is almost certainly with the SIM card itself or your carrier account.

Contact Your Mobile Carrier

If you've tried everything here and the error persists, your carrier's support team needs to get involved. There could be a provisioning error on their end, a problem with your account, or the SIM card itself could be faulty.

Explain the troubleshooting steps you've already completed. They can run deeper diagnostics on their network and, if needed, issue a replacement SIM card which often resolves stubborn provisioning issues for good.
