Whether the USB-C port isn't responding, your wireless charger isn't working, or the phone just sits there completely dead, we'll walk through the fixes. Let's start with the quickest solutions first.

Force Restart Your Phone (2)

This should always be your first move. A simple force restart clears out any temporary software glitches that might be blocking the charging circuit. It takes about ten seconds and solves the problem more often than you'd think.

For the Nothing Phone (2), just press and hold the power button on the right side for about 10 seconds or until you feel it vibrate and see the Nothing logo appear on screen. Once it boots back up, plug it in and check for the charging indicator.

Inspect and Clean the USB-C Port

This is the single most common fix. The USB-C port on your Phone (2) is a magnet for pocket lint and dust. Over time, that gunk packs in so tightly that your cable can't make a proper connection.

Grab a bright light and look closely into the port. If you see any debris, turn the phone off first for safety. Then, use a wooden or plastic toothpick to gently scrape out the lint. Avoid metal tools that could scratch the delicate contacts inside.

Charge with the Phone Powered Off
