Sony's first PlayStation Plus lineup since hiking prices across all tiers leans hard into multiplayer. June's Essential games, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, Grounded Fully Yoked Edition, and Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2, all feature co-op or competitive modes, available June 2 through July 6. The timing is awkward. Sony raised PS Plus subscription costs on May 20 for new one-month and three-month subscribers in select regions.
Essential one-month went from $9.99 to $10.99, Extra jumped to $16.99, and Premium hit $19.99. The price increases only apply to new subscribers, but they arrived just weeks before this lineup announcement.
Grounded Fully Yoked Edition is the standout. Obsidian's survival game shrinks players to insect size in a suburban backyard and supports up to four-player co-op. The "Fully Yoked Edition" refers to the 1.4 update released in 2024, which added ant queens, new game plus content, and brought the game to PlayStation and Nintendo Switch. It is available on both PS4 and PS5.
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is the heaviest hitter for PS5 owners. Fatshark's co-op first-person shooter casts players as disposable convicts fighting through the hive city of Tertium. The game launched rough on PC in 2022 but has since recovered through steady updates. Its PS Plus arrival is well-timed, a new Skitarii class drops June 23.
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 rounds out the month as the lightest entry, but its platform fighter mechanics carry genuine depth. The sequel added voice acting for all characters, cross-play support, and a roguelike story campaign.
EA Sports FC 26 carries over from May's lineup and remains available as a Monthly Game through June 16, overlapping with the start of the World Cup.
Sony also confirmed Destiny 2: Legacy Collection, including The Final Shape expansion, will hit PS Plus Extra and Premium on June 9. The rest of the Game Catalog lineup is expected next month.
