Matthew Karch, CEO of Saber Interactive, said the team is. Jenefer Brown, Lionsgate's president of global products, emphasized capturing the "unparalleled action" and "brand-defining fight choreography" from the movies.
The John Wick film franchise has grossed more than $1 billion worldwide across four films. Previous video game adaptations existed, but this marks the first to feature Reeves' direct involvement.
Saber Interactive plans to deliver "jaw-dropping camerawork, immersive driving experiences, and a variety of memorable environments" according to the game's description.
The studio previously developed World War Z, which attracted over 30 million players.
The announcement came during Sony's State of Play event, which also revealed remakes of the first three God of War games and a 30th anniversary edition of Rayman. The John Wick game is currently available for wishlisting on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
