NVIDIA delivered a triple upgrade to its GeForce NOW cloud gaming service at GDC 2026, targeting both gamers and developers with performance boosts and accessibility improvements.

Starting March 19th, virtual reality devices including Apple Vision Pro and Meta Quest will support up to 90 frames per second streaming through GeForce NOW for Ultimate subscribers, a significant jump from the previous 60 FPS cap. The higher frame rate promises smoother gameplay for VR titles streamed from NVIDIA's RTX servers.

Account management becomes simpler with GOG library integration arriving in the coming months. Members will connect their Gaijin and GOG accounts directly within the service, joining existing support for Xbox, Ubisoft Connect, and Epic Games Store libraries.

In-app labels will automatically highlight which games from connected libraries support cloud play across different subscriptions.

For developers, a new Cloud Playtest feature enables direct testing from the GeForce NOW infrastructure without shipping hardware or managing compatibility issues. The tool expands testing capabilities to virtually any device while providing secure cloud-based environments for gathering feedback.

The announcements came during NVIDIA's GeForce ON community update stream on March 10th, which focused on RTX games and platform features rather than hardware reveals. The company positioned the event as its primary gaming showcase during GDC 2026 in San Francisco.

Alongside the GeForce NOW improvements, NVIDIA confirmed DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Multi Frame Generation will launch March 31st as part of an opt-in beta for GeForce RTX 50 Series owners. The update includes a new Multi Frame Generation 6X mode designed to increase smoothness on high refresh rate displays.

Game partnerships also expanded with CD PROJEKT RED integrating NVIDIA's RTX Mega Geometry foliage system into The Witcher 4. The technology enables path tracing through dense environments with millions of detailed plants while maintaining real-time lighting and shadows.

NVIDIA's gaming software ecosystem continues evolving through these coordinated updates across cloud streaming, AI rendering enhancements, and developer tools.
