Amazon sells far more than physical goods. You can buy ebooks, audiobooks, music, mobile apps, software, games, movies, and TV shows, all of which are tied to your account and ready to use within seconds of purchase.

The catch is that these items live in a different place from your regular package orders. This guide shows you exactly where to find every type of digital purchase in 2026, on both the website and the mobile app, and how to re-download anything you already own.

What Counts as an Amazon Digital Download

A digital download is any item delivered to your account electronically instead of being shipped. There is nothing to wait for and nothing to store on a shelf.

  • Kindle ebooks and Audible audiobooks
  • Songs and albums from Amazon Music
  • Mobile apps and PC software
  • Digital and Prime Gaming titles
  • Movies and TV shows bought or rented on Prime Video

Because these are not tracked like shipments, Amazon files them under a separate Digital Orders view and inside dedicated libraries for each content type. Knowing both locations is the key to finding everything.

View Digital Orders on the Website

The fastest way to see a receipt-style list of every digital purchase is the Digital Orders tab in your order history. This shows the title, date, price, and order number for each item.

Sign in at Amazon.com, then go to:

> Accounts & Lists > Your Orders > Digital Orders

Amazon website Your Orders page open to the Digital Orders tab showing a list of digital purchases

If you want to skip the menus, open amazon.com/your-orders/orders and the page loads your digital history directly. From here you can re-download an item, leave a review, or open a problem with an order.

View Digital Orders in the Mobile App

The Amazon shopping app keeps digital purchases behind a filter rather than a separate tab. The path is slightly different from the website, so follow it closely.

Open the app and sign in, then tap the menu or profile icon and choose Your Orders. Tap Filter near the top, select Digital orders, pick a time period if asked, and tap Apply.

The list now shows only your digital items. Tap any title to view the receipt, get an invoice, or jump to the content so you can stream or download it.

Find Kindle Books and Audiobooks

Your order history confirms what you bought, but the Manage Your Content and Devices page is where you actually read, re-download, and organize Kindle and Audible files. It is the central hub for your reading library.

On a computer, sign in and open Manage Your Content and Devices, then select the Content tab. You can sort titles by author, title, or purchase date, and use the checkboxes to deliver a book to a registered device or remove it.

On a Kindle e-reader or the Kindle app, tap the Library tab at the bottom of the Home screen to see everything you own and download any title again for free.

Find Purchased Music

Songs and albums you buy outright live inside the Amazon Music app, separate from anything you stream. One quirk to know is that purchased music is no longer added automatically to your main Songs and Albums lists.

In the desktop app, choose Library, then Music, then Songs or Albums, and select Purchased. On the mobile app or web player, open Library and scroll the row of buttons sideways until you reach Purchased.

To keep a song offline, find it under Purchased, tap the three-dot menu, and choose Download. If you want a purchased track to appear in your regular Songs or Albums view, open it under Purchased and Like it.

Find Movies and TV Shows

Films and series you buy or rent are delivered through Prime Video rather than your shopping orders, so they have their own library that works across devices.

On the Prime Video website or app, open My Stuff and select Purchases & Rentals to see everything you own or have rented. On a Fire TV device, the same content appears under Your Videos.

Each title can be streamed instantly or, where the studio allows it, downloaded for offline viewing on a phone or tablet. Rentals stay available for the rental window shown on the title.

Find Apps Software and Games

Mobile apps you bought for an Amazon device and PC software appear in the Digital Orders list and in the relevant device library. App and game purchases for Fire tablets show under your apps library on the device.

For PC software bought through Amazon, open the Digital Orders tab on the website, locate the item, and use the download or product key link attached to that order. Keep the order number handy, since some publishers tie activation to that record.

Download a Full Record of Your Purchases

If you want a single archive of everything rather than browsing separate libraries, Amazon lets you request a copy of your account data. This is the most complete way to keep an offline record.

Sign in and open the Request Your Information page in your account settings, then choose the categories you want, such as order history and digital content. Amazon prepares the files and emails you a download link once the archive is ready, which it says can take up to a month.

This export is useful for taxes, expense tracking, or simply keeping proof of what you own before a device change.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why don't my digital purchases show in Your Orders

Regular Your Orders shows shipped items by default. Digital items appear only when you open the Digital Orders tab on the website or apply the Digital orders filter in the mobile app.

Can I re-download something I already bought

Yes. Digital purchases stay tied to your account, so you can download Kindle books, music, apps, and most videos again at no extra cost from their libraries or the Digital Orders list.

Where do my purchased songs go in Amazon Music

They sit under the Purchased button inside Library, not in the main Songs or Albums lists. Open the song under Purchased and Like it if you want it to appear with the rest of your music.

Are Prime Video purchases in my regular order history

They show in the Digital Orders list as a receipt, but you watch and manage them under My Stuff then Purchases & Rentals in Prime Video, or Your Videos on Fire TV.

How do I get one file with all my purchases

Use the Request Your Information page in your account settings to export your order and digital content history. Amazon emails a download link once the archive is ready.

Can I view digital orders from any device

Yes. The Digital Orders tab works in any web browser, and the same purchases are available in the Amazon shopping app and inside each content app, since everything is linked to your Amazon account.
