Need your LinkedIn URL for a job application but can’t find where to copy it? The address lives in different places on the desktop site, phone app, and mobile website. Here’s the path for each, plus how to check that you’ve copied your profile link.
Find your LinkedIn URL on a computer
This is the direct route to your public profile URL on desktop.
Sign in to LinkedIn.
Click Me at the top of the page.
Select View Profile.
Look for Public profile & URL in the right pane.
Copy the address displayed underneath it. That’s your public profile URL.
Copy your link in the iPhone or Android app
Open the LinkedIn app.
Tap your profile photo.
Tap your profile photo again to open your profile.
Tap More beside Add section.
Tap Contact info.
Copy the URL under Your Profile.
To share through LinkedIn messaging, choose Send profile in a message from the same More menu.
Locate your URL in a mobile browser
Using LinkedIn in your phone’s browser? You don’t need to install the app: the mobile website keeps your URL in the Contact section.
Tap your profile photo on the LinkedIn mobile website.
Scroll to Contact.
Find the address under LinkedIn.
Copy that URL. It’s your profile link.
Make sure you copied your profile address
Copying the browser address from a feed, login, or settings page gives you that page’s URL instead of your profile link.
On the desktop website, click Me.
Choose View Profile to open your actual profile.
Select the full address in the browser’s address bar.
Right-click the selected address.
Choose Copy.
For the keyboard route in Chrome, select the address with Ctrl+L on Windows or Linux, or Command+L on Mac.
Copy the selection with Ctrl+C on Windows or Linux, or Command+C on Mac.
Check your URL in public profile settings
From your desktop profile, click the Edit icon beside Public profile & URL.
Read your address under Edit your custom URL. There’s no need to change it just to retrieve your link.
To find the assigned address, look under Assigned URL cannot be changed.
If you previously changed your custom URL, select See prior custom URLs that might be linked to you to inspect older linked addresses.
Leave older addresses linked when you’re only retrieving a URL; unlinking is a separate action.

Why isn’t my public LinkedIn URL showing?
LinkedIn warns that a public URL isn’t always displayed for profiles that aren’t public. To review this in the app, tap your profile photo. Open Settings. Select Visibility. Under Visibility of your profile & network, select Edit your public profile. Review Your profile’s public visibility. Enabling public visibility changes who can see your profile, so make that decision separately from retrieving a link.
Can someone view my profile link without signing in?
LinkedIn sometimes prompts visitors to sign in even when a profile is public. Sharing your public URL doesn’t guarantee access for someone who is signed out.
Why does Google still show my old LinkedIn profile information?
Google’s results aren’t an immediate reflection of profile edits. Refreshing them takes weeks or months in some cases. For your current URL, copy the address directly from LinkedIn.
Can I share my profile with a QR code instead of a URL?
Yes. In the most current version of the LinkedIn app, tap the QR code icon in the Search bar at the top of your homepage. On iOS, select My code, then choose Share my code or Save to photos. On Android, select MY CODE, then SAVE TO GALLERY. Scanning the code opens your profile; the code itself doesn’t display a text URL.
