Seeing "No Service" or a missing signal icon on your Xiaomi 14T Pro can stop you from making calls or using mobile data right when you need it. This is usually a temporary glitch with your phone's connection to your carrier's network, and there are several things you can try to get back online.

I'd start with the simplest fix first, which is to restart your phone. Just press and hold the power button for a few seconds and tap "Restart." This clears out any minor software hiccups in HyperOS that might be blocking the cellular radio. If that doesn't do it, the next step is to check Airplane Mode. Swipe down from the top of your screen twice to open the full Quick Settings panel and make sure the airplane icon isn't highlighted.

Reinsert Your SIM Card

Over time, the SIM card tray can get a bit loose, or the contacts might get dusty. Grab the SIM ejector tool that came in the box with your phone. Gently push it into the small hole on the frame to pop out the tray.

Take out the SIM card, give both the card and the tray contacts a quick wipe with a soft, dry cloth, and then carefully reseat everything. Push the tray back in until it clicks firmly into place. Wait a minute for your phone to search for the network again.

Check Your Network Operator Settings

Sometimes your phone might be trying to latch onto a network it can't actually use. You can manually tell it to reconnect to your proper carrier. Open Settings and go to Connections & internet > Mobile network.

Tap on Advanced and then Choose network. Your 14T Pro will search for available networks. When the list pops up, simply select your own carrier's name from the options. This forces a fresh registration.

Reset Your Network Settings

If the problem started after you changed some settings or installed an app, a network reset can be a big help. This will wipe all your saved Wi-Fi passwords and Bluetooth pairings, so just be ready for that.

To do it, head to Settings > About phone > Reset. Tap on Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth and confirm. Your phone will reboot, and you'll need to reconnect to Wi-Fi networks and your Bluetooth devices afterward, but it often clears up persistent cellular issues.

Verify Your APN Configuration

The Access Point Name (APN) is like the address your phone uses to find your carrier's data network. If these settings are wrong, you might get calls but no mobile internet, or no service at all. The good news is you can easily check them.

Go back to Settings > Connections & internet > Mobile network. Tap on the name of your carrier or SIM card, then select Access Point Names. Your phone should have a default APN listed from your carrier.

If the list is empty or you're unsure, the safest move is to contact your mobile provider. They can give you the exact APN details to enter or often send them to your phone via a configuration message.

Use the Phone Information Menu

Your Xiaomi 14T Pro has a built-in diagnostic menu that lets you see the status of the cellular radio. Open your phone dialer and type *#*#4636#*#*. This should open the "Testing" menu.

Tap on Phone information. On this screen, you can see if the radio is powered on. There's also a button to Run Ping Test to check basic connectivity. If you're feeling adventurous, you can tap the three-dot menu and select Select radio band to make sure it's set to a band your region uses, but the "Auto" setting is usually best.

Check for Software Updates

Xiaomi frequently releases updates for HyperOS that include bug fixes and improvements for network stability. It's worth making sure you're on the latest version. Go to Settings > About phone > HyperOS version.

Tap the "Check for updates" button. If an update is available, I'd recommend installing it while connected to a reliable Wi-Fi network. The powerful Dimensity 9300+ chip in your phone handles updates quickly, but it's still a good idea to have it plugged into your 120W charger just in case.

Review Your Installed Apps

Some apps, particularly VPNs, ad blockers, or aggressive battery savers, can interfere with your phone's ability to maintain a steady network connection. Think about any apps you installed around the time the problem started.

You can try booting your 14T Pro into Safe Mode to see if the issue goes away. Press and hold the power button, then tap and hold the "Power off" icon on your screen until you see the Safe Mode prompt. In Safe Mode, all third-party apps are disabled. If you have service in Safe Mode, a recently installed app is likely the culprit.

Test Your SIM Card in Another Phone

This step helps you figure out if the problem is with your Xiaomi 14T Pro or with the SIM card itself. If you have access to another unlocked phone, power it off, insert your SIM, and turn it back on.

If the other phone also shows no service, then the issue is almost certainly with the SIM or your carrier account. At that point, giving your carrier's support line a call is the best move. They can check for outages in your area or send you a replacement SIM if yours has failed.

Consider a Factory Reset

This is the last resort, but if you've tried everything else and your SIM works fine in other phones, a software issue deep within your phone's system might be to blame. A factory reset will erase all your data, so this is a critical step to back up everything important first.

Once you're backed up, you can initiate the reset by going to Settings > About phone > Reset > Erase all data (factory reset). Follow the prompts. After the reset, set up the phone as new first, before restoring your backup, to see if the network connection is stable on a fresh system.
