Attendees at San Diego Comic-Con later this month will be the first in the U.S. to play two of Nintendo's biggest Switch 2 titles before they hit stores, including a hands-on demo of the newly announced Nintendo Switch Sports Resort and the full Splatoon Raiders launch experience.
Nintendo confirmed the lineup Tuesday, marking the company's most aggressive SDCC presence in years. The booth spans Hall A, the Hilton San Diego Bayfront, and even a custom-wrapped trolley rolling through downtown.
Splatoon Raiders Takes Over the Showroom Floor
Running July 23-26 at booth #235 in Hall A, Nintendo is staging a full launch celebration for Splatoon Raiders, the new treasure-hunting action-adventure game for Nintendo Switch 2. Attendees can pick from three tank types; Power Tank (brute force), Speed Tank (mobility), or Tactical Tank (battlefield control) -- and fight through the mysterious Spirhalite Islands alongside Deep Cut, the swashbuckling musician trio.
First U.S. Hands-On With Nintendo Switch Sports Resort
Starting at 9:30 a.m. PT daily inside The Pointe at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront Hotel, visitors can play four of the game's 12 sports.
Nintendo Switch Sports Resort launches exclusively on Switch 2 on Oct. 22, and the SDCC demo represents the first public hands-on opportunity in the country. The setup operates on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Outside on The Promenade, screens will broadcast live gameplay alongside family-friendly sports activities hosted by event staff.
Compete Against The Rizzler
On July 23 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. PT, attendees who have already played Nintendo Switch Sports Resort can take the stage at The Promenade to compete against social media creator The Rizzler.
Participants will be randomly selected by event staff. No prizing is involved.
Throughout the convention center and downtown San Diego, Nintendo will also run friendly competitions, solo challenges, and surprise activities. A Splatoon Raiders-themed trolley will shuttle attendees around town.
Nintendo's SDCC activation runs July 23-26 at the San Diego Convention Center and Hilton San Diego Bayfront Hotel.
