Apple and Major League Baseball are bringing "Friday Night Baseball" to Apple Immersive on Vision Pro for the first time, with the live 3D broadcasts starting August 28. The weekly doubleheader, which streams every Friday on Apple TV throughout the 2026 regular season, will feature the Boston Red Sox at New York Yankees in the first immersive game, captured in 8K 3D video with a 180-degree field of view.
The immersive experience places viewers inside the action with camera angles that capture each at-bat, dugout celebrations after big hits, and close plays at the outfield wall. The broadcast includes bespoke commentary from Paul Severino on play-by-play, Xavier Scruggs as analyst, and Michelle Margaux as sideline reporter, plus dedicated replays and an immersive graphics package showing team lineups and stats floating in the viewer's space.
During breaks, the feed stays live, and ambisonic microphones capture stadium sounds in Spatial Audio.
Vision Pro owners with an Apple TV subscription in Australia, Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, the UK, and the U.S. can stream the games live through the Apple TV app.
Full game replays and a highlight package of key moments will be available on demand in the Apple TV app for Vision Pro. The immersive broadcasts work on both Vision Pro (M5) and Vision Pro (M2) models with an active Apple TV subscription.
The September schedule includes three Friday doubleheaders. September 4 brings the Los Angeles Angels at Pittsburgh Pirates plus Detroit Tigers at Cleveland Guardians, September 11 features Cincinnati Reds at Milwaukee Brewers and San Diego Padres at San Francisco Giants, and September 18 pairs Philadelphia Phillies at New York Mets with San Francisco Giants at Los Angeles Dodgers.
The schedule wraps with Shohei Ohtani and the Dodgers hosting the Giants as they chase a fifth consecutive division title.
Standard "Friday Night Baseball" games on Apple TV continue with broadcast teams Wayne Randazzo, Dontrelle Willis, and Heidi Watney, plus Alex Faust, Ryan Spilborghs, and Tricia Whitaker. Pregame shows are hosted by Siera Santos, former MLB All-Star Eric Hosmer, and insider Russell Dorsey.
Fans in the U.S. and Canada can also tune into home and away local radio broadcasts during the games.
