Your iPhone has joined Delta Wi-Fi, but websites won’t load, or the login screen never shows up. Start with the portal and your sign-in, then check the settings that interfere with access. Keep Airplane Mode on throughout, with Wi-Fi enabled separately.
Join the aircraft network in the right order
Open Settings and turn on Airplane Mode. Then go to Settings > Wi-Fi and turn on Wi-Fi. Select DeltaWiFi.com from the available networks and complete the portal sign-in.
Joining the network gets you connected to the aircraft’s Wi-Fi; completing the portal’s access steps gets you online.
Bring up the missing login page
Already selected the Delta network, but no welcome page appeared? Open the portal directly instead of waiting for the login screen. Open Safari and enter deltawifi.com in the address field.
To reopen the welcome screen through iPhone settings, open Settings > Wi-Fi. Tap More Info beside DeltaWiFi.com. Tap Join Network when it appears; otherwise, use the Safari address above.
Complete the welcome screen. Tapping Cancel on the initial login screen disconnects your iPhone.
If the no-internet choices appear, select Without Internet to stay connected to the aircraft network. This disables Auto-Login and does not authorize internet access. Then open deltawifi.com in Safari to finish signing in.
Get past SkyMiles sign-in problems
An unfinished portal sign-in leaves you without internet access even after you join the aircraft network. At deltawifi.com, sign in, enroll in SkyMiles, or purchase access using the options offered on your flight.
For forgotten credentials, select Having Trouble Logging In? and complete the verification prompts. To find your SkyMiles number in the app, open Fly Delta > Account > SkyMiles.
If your SkyMiles account is locked, purchase onboard access to connect during the flight. Recover the locked account after landing.
Use the access options in your flight’s portal. Wi-Fi Onboard All-Day and Delta Global passes are discontinued and rejected.
Refresh the saved Wi-Fi connection
Go to Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi off. Turn Wi-Fi back on, select DeltaWiFi.com, and try signing in again at deltawifi.com.
If that fails, open Settings > Wi-Fi > Edit. Tap More Info beside DeltaWiFi.com, then tap Forget This Network. With iCloud Keychain, network removal also extends to other devices sharing the saved connection.
Confirm with Forget. Return to Settings > Wi-Fi, select DeltaWiFi.com, and complete authentication again at deltawifi.com.
If your iPhone keeps choosing another saved network, turn off that network’s Auto-Join under Settings > Wi-Fi > Edit > More Info before reconnecting to Delta manually.
Check whether the flight has working service
Before digging further into your iPhone, ask the cabin crew about Wi-Fi service on your flight. Open Wi-Fi Service by Aircraft and the coverage map on Delta’s onboard Wi-Fi page to check availability.
Try connecting another device to the aircraft network. If multiple devices fail, report the problem to the cabin crew or network provider.
On Wi-Fi Onboard-equipped flights, select the free messaging option in the portal if you only need to message. It is a separate access option from general internet use.
Unstick Safari loading and sign-in
Blocking all cookies prevents website authentication on sites that need them, even when you enter the correct credentials. If you enabled that setting, open Settings > Apps > Safari > Advanced and turn off Block All Cookies. Retry the portal sign-in.
For a stalled page, go to Settings > Apps > Safari > Advanced and turn on JavaScript. Reload deltawifi.com.
To test an installed Safari extension, open the portal in Safari. Tap Page Menu > Manage Extensions, turn off the relevant extension, and retry the page.
If the portal still fails, open Settings > Apps > Safari > Advanced > Website Data. Clearing this data retains browsing history; be ready to sign back in to websites afterward. Tap Remove All Website Data and confirm with Remove Now.
Reopen deltawifi.com and complete the portal authentication.
Test VPN and Private Relay settings
If you use a VPN, Delta recommends signing in to the portal before connecting it. For iCloud+ users, a Safari page or member-content problem also calls for a targeted Private Relay test. Disconnect your VPN in its app, complete authentication at deltawifi.com, and reconnect the VPN after signing in.
If you use a firewall, parental-control app, or network filter, temporarily disable its filtering feature in that app. The switch’s name depends on the vendor. Retry portal access.
For a Private Relay test, open the affected page in Safari. Select Page Menu > Show IP Address when available, then retry the page.
If that option is absent, update your iPhone to the latest iOS on a working connection, then retry Show IP Address. If a message says the network itself is not compatible with Private Relay, open Settings > Wi-Fi.
Tap More Info beside DeltaWiFi.com and turn off Limit IP Address Tracking. This network preference applies to that network on every one of your devices that has Private Relay turned on. Retry access.
Restore Limit IP Address Tracking if disabling it did not help. If SkyMiles member offers or exclusive content still will not open, Delta directs iCloud+ users to open Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Private Relay and turn Private Relay off.
On a work or managed iPhone, ask IT to review required VPN settings, filters, and restrictions on network changes before proceeding to a network reset.
Restart before trying a network reset
Open Settings > General > Shut Down and drag the shutdown slider. Hold the side button to turn your iPhone back on. Check that Settings > Airplane Mode is on. Open Settings > Wi-Fi and enable Wi-Fi.
Select DeltaWiFi.com and retry authentication at deltawifi.com. If the earlier checks fail, open Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset for the last resort. A network reset removes saved Wi-Fi networks and passwords and resets cellular, VPN, and APN settings.
Tap Reset Network Settings. Rejoin DeltaWiFi.com through Settings > Wi-Fi and complete the portal sign-in again. After landing, test your iPhone on another working Wi-Fi network.
Contact Apple Support if your iPhone fails on every network, or the onboard network provider if multiple devices fail on the flight. For purchase help or a refund, contact the receipt issuer using the Delta messaging or Wi-Fi Onboard Customer Care links on Delta’s onboard Wi-Fi page.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need the Fly Delta app to connect to Delta Wi-Fi?
No. Browser-based Wi-Fi authentication does not require the Fly Delta app.
Why aren’t my text messages working after I connect?
Delta says SMS delivery can take 15 minutes, and MMS is unsupported. SMS over Wi-Fi requires carrier support and Wi-Fi Calling setup. Onboard voice and video calls are prohibited.
Should I turn off Private Wi-Fi Address for Delta?
Delta’s onboard Wi-Fi guidance doesn’t ask you to change it; it addresses iCloud Private Relay instead. Apple recommends updating iOS and retrying before testing this compatibility setting. On iOS 18 and later, open Settings > Wi-Fi > More Info beside DeltaWiFi.com, then select Private Wi-Fi Address > Off. Restore privacy protection when compatible. This feature is separate from iCloud Private Relay.
How do I recover a locked SkyMiles account after landing?
Open Delta’s SkyMiles Help > Login and use the Identity Verification Form for a lockout or an inaccessible old email address. For password recovery, select Reset it with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). For your SkyMiles number, select Recover it with your email address.
