Getting bombarded by spam calls on your Vivo X200 Pro can ruin your day, especially when you're trying to enjoy that long battery life or take a portrait shot with the Zeiss camera. The good news is that Funtouch OS 15, built on Android 15, gives you several straightforward ways to block those numbers for good.

Block a Number from Your Call Log

Open your Phone app and head to the Recents tab. Find the number you want to block and tap on it to view the call details. On the details screen, you should see an option like Block number or Block/report spam. Tap it and confirm your choice. The number will be added to your blocked list immediately.

Block Someone from a Text Message

If the spam is coming via SMS, open the Messages app and find the conversation. Tap and hold on the conversation thread, then select Block from the menu that pops up. Alternatively, open the chat, tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner, and look for the Block number option. This stops both calls and texts from that sender.

Block a Contact Directly

For people already in your contacts list, open the Contacts app. Find and tap on the contact's name to open their card. Look for a three-dot menu or a more options button, then select Block. This is useful if you need to block all phone numbers associated with that specific contact.

Manage Your Blocked List

To see who you've blocked or to unblock someone, go to your Phone app's settings. Tap the three-dot menu in the Phone app and go to Settings. From there, look for Blocked numbers or a similar option. You'll see a complete list. Tap the remove icon next to any number to unblock it. You can also manually add numbers to this list by tapping an Add button.

Turn on Built-in Spam Protection

Your Vivo X200 Pro likely has some level of spam detection built into the dialer. I'd check the Phone app settings for a section called Harassment filter or Spam call blocking. Toggle this feature on. When enabled, it can warn you about suspected spam calls or even automatically block them based on a constantly updated list.

Silence Calls from Unknown Numbers

A more aggressive approach is to silence all calls from numbers not in your contacts. This sends them straight to voicemail without your phone ringing. You can usually find this under Phone settings > Blocked numbers. Look for a toggle labeled Block unknown callers or Block hidden numbers. Remember, legitimate callers like doctors' offices can still leave a message.

What Actually Happens When You Block

When you block a number on your Vivo, what the caller experiences depends on your carrier. Typically, they will hear the phone ring once or twice before being sent to voicemail, or they might get a busy signal. They won't receive any notification that they've been specifically blocked. Any text messages they send will simply not appear in your Messages app.

Use a Third-Party Call Blocker App

For the most powerful spam fighting, consider an app from the Google Play Store. Apps like Truecaller have massive, community-updated databases of spam numbers and can identify unknown callers by name. After installing, you'll grant it permissions and it will work alongside your default Phone app to filter calls system-wide. This is a great option if you get a lot of spam from local numbers.

If you ever need to completely restart your phone during this process, just press and hold the Power button for about 12 seconds until you see the Vivo logo. With these tools, you can take back control of your incoming calls and enjoy your phone in peace.
