Slack has enabled users to share Slackbot skills with people outside their organization, letting colleagues at other companies copy reusable AI workflows into their own Slackbot. The feature is live everywhere, according to Slack, and recipients need Slackbot to use the shared workflows. Authors distribute skills through external links that they can revoke.

Administrators have independent controls for allowing skills to leave their organization and for accepting skills from elsewhere, so sharing in one direction does not require permitting it in both. A recipient opens the shared skill, creates a copy and saves that copy in their own Slackbot. Slack says the copied workflow can be used immediately.

To generate a link, an author starts with the arrow for sharing at the upper right of the skill view, then selects the option for creating an external link. They can then copy that link and send it to someone in another Slack organization. Skills themselves are saved AI workflows that users create by telling Slackbot both the task and how to carry it out.

Slack says skills can execute on a schedule, draw information from channels and accumulate knowledge across runs. Its Wins Journal example checks for shoutouts each week and maintains a canvas recording the user's achievements. Another example, Drift, identifies discrepancies between CRM information and team discussions in Slack.

Slack is also offering an AI Agent Skill Repository populated with workflows contributed by people across Salesforce, with additional entries added as submissions arrive. Its coverage includes support work and incident management alongside tasks involving presentations, documents and internal communications. Each entry provides a link through which users can create their own copy in Slackbot.

Among those entries, Product Marketing: CRM Audience Builder Skill uses the user's Salesforce fields to assemble contacts, checks consent and requires confirmation before writing changes, according to Slack. It produces a CSV instead when CRM writing is unavailable. Last Support Update Staleness Check Skill identifies cases whose latest support update exceeds a chosen age, defaulting to two days, and arranges results by owner with the oldest first.
