Samsung's premium Micro RGB TV technology just became accessible to mainstream buyers with two new models starting at $1,599.99 for a 55-inch display. The R95H and R85H series represent a dramatic price reduction from the $30,000 115-inch MR95F Micro RGB TV Samsung released in late 2025.
The new lineup ranges from 55 inches to 85 inches, with a 100-inch version scheduled for release later this year. Samsung also previously announced a 115-inch R95H model, though pricing and availability details remain unavailable. For now, the 2025 model 115-inch R95F carries over into 2026.
Micro RGB technology uses thousands of micro-sized red, green, and blue LEDs instead of the blue or white light modules found in typical mini-LED TVs. This approach promises greater color accuracy and eliminates backlight blooming artifacts common in zoned backlighting systems.
Samsung claims all its Micro RGB TVs achieve 100% coverage of the BT.2020 color space, verified by VDE certification. By comparison, measurements of Samsung's S90F QD-OLED gaming TV range between approximately 80% and 90% BT.2020 coverage according to various tech outlets.
In hands-on testing with a 65-inch R95H, P3 color space coverage measured 98.8% while BT.2020 reached 92% in Filmmaker Mode.
Both new series support HDR10+ Advanced and Dolby Atmos sound across four HDMI ports with AirPlay and Google Cast compatibility. They run Samsung's One UI operating system over Wi-Fi 6E connectivity and include access to the Samsung Art Store subscription service previously limited to The Frame displays.
The higher-end R95H series starts at $3,199.99 for a 65-inch model, reaching $6,499.99 for an 85-inch display. It features a Glare Free anti-reflective screen coating, adjustable stand design, and Motion Xcelerator technology supporting up to 165Hz refresh rates across four HDMI 2.1 ports.
Samsung's step-down R85H series begins at $1,599.99 for a 55-inch model and tops out at $3,999.99 for an 85-inch version. This line offers Motion Xcelerator up to 144Hz refresh rates without the anti-glare coating or adjustable stand found on premium models.
All models incorporate AI-driven features including Micro RGB AI Engine Pro processing on the R95H series versus standard Micro RGB AI Engine on R85H units. The updated Tizen smart interface moves navigation tabs from screen sides to top positioning with Vision AI Companion functionality through built-in microphones or Solar Cell Bluetooth remote controls.
Peak HDR brightness measured up to 2,223 nits on a 10% window pattern in Standard picture mode during hands-on testing earlier this month at Samsung's New Jersey headquarters.
